Description

Warcombe is an idyllic campsite, nestled between the beautiful villages of Mortehoe, Lee and Woolacombe. With stunning sea views, direct access to the South West Coast Path, only a stone`s throw from the Tarka Cycle Trail and several award winning surf beaches, we are in an ideal location for walkers, cycle enthusiasts, surfers and families alike. We are also on the doorstep of Exmoor National Park, a short drive from the pretty harbour town of Ilfracombe and the historic village of Clovelly. The local bus stops right outside our gate.

Our campsite, set in 35 acres, has been thoughtfully landscaped, and attracts a huge variety of wildlife both during the day and in the evening. We have planted many new trees and shrubs and have allowed wild flowers to grow freely making camping with us a truly wonderful experience for the nature lover. We have a 14 acre dedicated woodland dog walk complete with luxury doggie shower, private fishing lake and popular childrens play area with aerial slide.

Warcombe has pitches to suit all tastes and types of camping unit, grass, hardstanding or a mixture of both. Choose from the basic tent pitch to our premier pitches with electricity, water and grey waste, large family picnic bench, and a brick built stand for your barbeque. Our sea view pitches have incredible panoramic views over the Bristol Channel and front row seats for the sunset.
Our utility blocks are of the highest quality and include under floor heating, luxury showers and wetrooms, family shower room with bathtub, disabled shower & toilet, microwaves and launderette.

Our campsite is mostly level with many of the pitches separated by fences or shrubbery for enhanced privacy. We now have enlarged pitches giving you more space to relax.

On-site we have a well-stocked, fully licensed shop selling provisions, fresh bread, a selection of local ciders, beers and wines, handmade gifts and Calor Gas on an exchange basis. Freshly baked cream teas and morning pastries available daily in peak season. In peak season we also have a variety of nightly food vans for your convenience.

Nearby Attractions

The Barricane Beach Cafe serves Sri Lankan food in the evening. Take your blanket and a bottle of wine for a night out with a difference. Kick back and enjoy the sunset. Ilfracombe is around 5 miles away and has the historic Tunnels Beaches, a pretty harbour and various boat/fishing trips, water sports and coasteering. See Damian Hirst`s famous `Verity`.For a quieter day out there is Marwood Hill Gardens, Arlington Court and RHS Rosemoor. Visit Lundy Island by boat, a place of natural beauty with its skies full of birds. Venture a little further into Exmoor National Park. Lynton and Lynmouth are both beautiful. Take a ride on the world`s highest water powered funicular railway connecting the two. Sample local Oysters at Porlock Weir or visit the spectacular Dunster Castle. In the opposite direction, visit the unmissable historic village of Clovelly. Don`t forget a carrot for the donkeys!!
