Description
Pitches: 5 plus 2 tents
Rye Hill Farm is just out of the village of Slaley, only 5 miles south of Hexham. We offer holiday accommodation for families and everyone looking for a peaceful break in the countryside in the beautiful County of Northumberland.
Enjoy the fantastic scenery of this ancient county with Hadrian`s Wall to the north, Durham city to the south, Beamish Open Air Museum to the east and the North Pennines Moors to the west.
Our site is small and all grass. The views from the driveway in are magnificent, over rural farm land and up to Slaley forest. Rye Hill Farm sits on an elevated rural position with superb views, and because it is at the end of our own tarmacked lane it is well away from noise and traffic.
Campsite Facilities
The campsite benefits from 5 electric hook-up points and we can accommodate up to 3 units without electric.
There is a fresh water tap and waste disposal point on site.
There is a single toilet, and second toilet with a shower unit off the adjoining farm yard.
Barbecues are allowed but must be off the ground and, please bring your own fuel.
Wi-Fi is available across the site.
The skies can be wonderfully lit up by the stars as there is very little light pollution in this area. At certain times of the year you can hear the owls hooting in the evening and see the bats flying around at dusk on a summer`s night.
We are a small working sheep farm so ask that you keep your dog on a lead at all times.
Children are most welcome.
We aim to be a quite site and request no noise after 9.00 at night or before 8.00 in the morning.
Pre booking is advised as we do not like to over fill the site, just call or email me.

In nearby Slaley village you will find a Community Shop, for all things you might need, and a community owned pub - The Rose and Crown - ideal for meals.
Our campsite is a great base for exploring Northumberland. We are close to Hexham and Corbridge which are just over 10 minutes away by car.
Hexham is the largest town in the area with lots to see and do: Hexham Abbey, Saturday outdoor market, shopping at national and independent retailers, the Queen`s Hall Arts Centre, the Wentworth Leisure Centre, fishing, golfing, kayaking and Hexham Racecourse.
Corbridge is a pretty ex Roman Garrison town with boutique shopping, restaurants and cafes and lovely riverside walks.
