Forest Oak Farm is twenty acre farm estate run by the Dodson Family. We are a small, pet friendly site conveniently located between the shores of River Severn and the picturesque Royal Forest of Dean. We are in a mile from the town of Lydney and a short drive away from many lovely pubs, walks, cycling tracks and tourist attractions.
In 2022 we opened our brand new toilet and shower block, along with laundry, washing up area and disabled facilities. Dogs can cool off from the hot weather with a paddle in the Doggie Dip after a run in one of our two fenced exercise areas. After which they can be cleaned up in our new cold shower dog wash area.
We a chemical waste disposal point and there are water taps are located throughout the camping area. We have a limited number of 10 amp electric hook ups, we run a fair use policy for their use (contact for details). The site consists of ten hard standings as well as spacious grassed pitches. At the bottom of the camping area is our beautiful fishing lakes and picnic area.
The site is home to a number of spacious, dog friendly holiday lodges. Also large indoor and outdoor venue space which can be hired for weddings, events and rallies.
A fridge-freezer is available for use by our visitors for free and the leaflet stand includes information about the local area and take-aways as well as walks in the forest.
On a personal note we are not a commercialized site with straight lines, row upon row of identical pitches, tarmac roads and kids entertainment. If that is what you are looking for we are not the place for you. We are Qwerky with enjoy stunning wildlife and views across a small valley. We believe in enjoying the benefits of a small site with our friendly owner and beautiful scenery with all its rugged edges.
