Waking up every morning looking out to our wonderful views will make our hideaway site a perfect quieter, smaller places to camp, ideal for when you want to get away from it all. Our site benefits from virtually no road noise.
Our quite hideaway site has 5 hardstanding pitches with EHU and 10 grass tent pitches, 5 with EHU and 5 without
We also offer our very own 'Glamping' experiences in our pod and Safari Tent. The tent is set on its own private decking overlooking our Birdwatching Tarn with Views towards Skiddaw, there is a full size double bed with all bedding and towels. There is a kettle, toaster and crockery. The tent has lighting and electric points, outside there is seating and a chimenea With our Pod experience camping without having to put up a tent. Included in the pod is a carpeted floor, air mattress, heating, electric lights and socket and blackout curtains. Relax outside on the decked area on our bench with fire pit included. Parking area close to the pod. You bring everything as if you were camping, except your tent, we have toilet, shower and other facilities close to the pod. Cooking facilities are the same as camping, you can use a portable BBQ as long as you use safety precautions and no BBQ are allowed inside the camping Pod. Pod can comfortably sleep 2 adults and 2 small children, or 3 adults. The pod is priced at £35 per night.
Site fee is £15 per night. The facilities we have on offer are flat level hard standings, Electric Hook Up's, purpose built new Toilet block completed in 2017, with 5 toilets (1 disabled with baby changing), 4 Showers (no extra charge) dish washing up area, fridge to store food, laundry facilities (charged), Drinking Water and alternative water supplies, Chemical disposal point and Dry Waste and recycling collection points.
We have a information shed full of leaflets on places to visit is our lovely part of the lake district and important site information.
We have an onsite games room with pool table.
The site is next to our own, on site birdwatching tarn with purpose built 12 man hide, with an abundance of wildlife all year round.

Our location is ideal for visiting the Northern Lake District which includes: Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere and also the quieter Western Lakes of Ennerdale, Loweswater and Crummock.
We are only 30 minutes drive from The Great Border City of Carlisle and Penrith, and within an hour you can reach Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere.

From the M6 Northbound take J40 at Penrith, of the exit take the first exit off roundabout for the A66 signed Workington. At the next Roundabout take the second exit along the A66. Follow A66 until a roundabout at Keswick, on here take the third exit A591 signed Bothel, Carlisle. Follow this road until you come to the Castle Inn Hotel on the Left hand side, past here take the first left turn signposted Sunderland, Isel. Follow this road to the end, at the t-junction take a right turn, off this road take the first right turn signposted Sunderland. We are 500 yards along this road on the right.
