Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead as we have many ex battery hens which are free range and will wander about the site and will become regular visitors to your caravan or tent especially if you feed them.

We are on the outskirts of Burnley in open countryside not far from the villages of Barley and Newchurch, which were made famous in the stories of the Pendle Witches in fact the shop Witches Galore is based in Newchurch. There are many superb walks in the area and we have detailed information on the ones leaving the centre of Nelson on a daily basis. A 15 minute drive away is Boundary Mill a haven for shopaholics, within 45 mins you can be in the Beautiful Trough of Bowland and in little over an hour be at the seaside.
There are many historical places to visit in the area indeed on our own site is Woodend Mining Museum, and we are near to the Weavers Triangle, Gawthorpe Hall and Towneley Hall, In fact we are near to so many different attractions and yet you will feel miles from anywhere.
