We are excited to welcome campers in our spacious, flat and grassy 17-acre field for a back to basic camping experience this summer.
The campsite has fantastic views over surrounding fields and Ivinghoe Beacon, which is a must to visit when in the area. The location of the farm offers the best of both worlds; feeling like you have escaped busy daily life and be at one with nature, with open space and countryside for as far as the eye can see and where local amenities are not far away, with the closest market town of Leighton Buzzard just 5 miles down the road.
The spacious farming field is used all year round with grazing for the sheep for 6 weeks of the year. The grass is left to grow for the remainder of the year to make hay and silage to feed the cattle when they are housed during the winter months. Prior to the campsite opening in July, the field will be cut and rolled, ensuring a great base for camping guests and their tents.
Number of pitches is being capped at 50, each 10m x 10m in size. Pitches will be allocated at time of booking to ensure a smooth running of the campsite. There will be plenty of space for children to run around to enjoy the fresh air as well as the hay bales especially placed onsite to explore.
Open fields lend themselves to the open skies; enjoy sleeping under the stars, bird watching in the day and spotting the odd glider or two on a calm summers day.
As this is a Pop-up campsite, facilities are temporary for just over 6 weeks so expect a traditional, no frills site. There will be a unisex 4 bay shower unit, each with sink and proper taps (no annoying push buttons!) offering gas boiler hot power showers. Portable toilets with hand sanitiser, standing pipes providing fresh, mains drinking water and a couple of washing up sinks (cold water only). BBQs are permitted but must be raised from the ground (bricks available to borrow if necessary).
Please note: the showers are unfortunately not accessible, however we have an accessible portable toilet with baby-changing.
Lighting onsite will be limited due to it being a Pop-up campsite. Please bring torches and battery powered lights. There are no electric hook-ups or WiFi in the camping field.
Our back to basics approach help you relax, recharge and unwind and if the kids dont end their weekend here covered in grass stains then theyre doing something wrong!
Suitable for Tents only. Families, couples, children, dogs and small groups. Unfortunately, caravans, trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes are not permitted.
