Description

This is a Naturist site, please contact them further details.

Pitches: 20 caravans + tents

Opening Dates this year:  08/07/2022 to 11/10/2022

Mill Bank Sun Club in the south-east of England is currently closed. We are a long established naturist camping club and in recent years we have used farm field sites near to Battle and Isfield. We generally hold 4 day rallies, over long weekends for our members and visitors. We are presently looking to lease a suitable field from a landowner in the East Sussex area for the 2022 summer season. Please contact the club secretary for further information if you know of a landowner who might have a suitably, secluded plot of land we can use for naturist camping.

We will update our site availability once a new location is determined. Past experience has found us using secluded and peaceful sites with basic amenities and this simple style of camping is well appreciated by many self-sufficient campers.

New club members and holiday visitors with their own campers, caravans or tents are all very welcome to join our rallies but prior arrangements must be made with the club before all visits. Our club is a member of the British Naturism organisation who recognises our recreational activities as a way of life in harmony with nature, characterised by the practice of communal nudity with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others and for the environment.

Spaces for caravans and tents can vary from site to site but we can usually accommodate up to 20 units. The sites are rarely all flat so some levelling up is to be expected. We do not have mains electrical hook-ups available but campers manage with solar panels to recharge their 12V battery and use gas systems.

The club marquee is usually set up for the season and a generator is available to power some lights etc into the evening for socialising together. There are some tables and chairs available for communal eating if required. The club has a charcoal BBQ that is available for visitors to use too, just bring your own food and drink for the evening BBQ meal whilst you can sit and watch the sunset over the horizon.

General amenities that we aim to provide are an accessible drinking water supply and if not a plumbed toilet, then a suitable discharge point for toilet cassettes. We have even installed a hot shower shed on past sites, now that was luxury!
If this sounds like the laid-back kind of place you'd like to visit, with the feeling of the sun on your back from morning to night, then consider joining the club and help create it - get in touch.

When looking for suitable sites in the past we have achieved many of the following criteria and will revise this list to reflect the site we find in 2022 season:
Easy and safe vehicle access to our rally sites
Pitches well drained and level as far as possible
Suitable for caravans, motorhomes and tents
Fresh water supply
Chemical Toilet Disposal for caravans and motorhomes
Toilets
Hot Shower
Access to a washing up facility
Large marquee at all rallies
Club BBQ for social evenings
Pets welcome subject to adequate control
Local woodland and riverside walks
Pubs within easy distance from all rallies
Day visitors are welcome
Rallies within easy reach of naturist beaches at Hastings
(Fairlight), Birling Gap, Brighton and Portslade
Families welcome
Other clubs are welcome to visit us
