Le Moulin de la Barde is owned and operated by Alan Hammond (as in award winning The Orchard Campsite in Suffolk). Eventually the site will offer safari tents and a superb swimming pool but these developments cannot be delivered until the decision to abandon Europe has been played out.
In the meantime you do have 16 acres of superb wooded and open grounds to enjoy in one of the best walking and cycling areas of France. The Cruese Grande river runs full length alongside the site with fishing swimming and kayaking all easy to do from the site itself.
The location was selected because the weather is markedly better than the UK but you can easily drive to the site from the UK within the day. If you choose to fly it is usually cheaper with return flights to Limoges from Stansted around £60. The site is approximately 1 hour from the airport.
There are electric hooks and new purpose built wcs and showers. A good choice of bars and restaurants available locally and some easily in walking distance too.
The facilities shown on this website are a guide only, and you should check with the campsite direct before making any booking. The UKCampsite.co.uk will not be held responsible for any errors or omissions
