Whitcliffe Camp Site holds an unrivalled position overlooking the beautiful, historic market town of Ludlow and its impressive Norman castle all within walking distance.
This small, friendly, quiet farm site has 11 level grass standings with electric hook up with extra space on the slope for tents without hook up. Picturesque views of the surrounding South Shropshire hills to include Titterstone Clee, Brown Clee (highest point in Shropshire) Wenlock Edge, Church Stretton Hills and the Malverns in the distance.
Facilities include two showers (one ladies/one gents, both without meters), three toilets, indoor washing-up facilities, water tap, razor and power points free to use and a chemical toilet point.
We have direct access to Mortimer Forest with a bridleway adjacent to our farm, this is ideal for those with children and dogs seeking a safe place to explore the woodlands without walking on the highway. Mortimer Forest is fun for all the family with marked walks, riding and mountain bike trails. A wide range of native wildlife can be seen, including Roe and Fallow Deer, Red Kites, Buzzards, Woodpecker and if you're lucky the elusive Cuckoo.
Ludlow - boasts parks and river side walks, a swimming pool and leisure center, Norman Castle, 15th Century Church, guided walks and Assembly Rooms which hosts a number of performances each year ranging from comedians to blockbuster films and Shakespeare adaptations.
Ludlow has a reputation for the quality of its food and drink with many excellent restaurants and cafes encouraged by the areas abundance of quality food & drink producers who are showcased by the open air markets. Every Spring and September the town is filled with food lovers from all over the UK and beyond for the Ludlow Food and Drink Festivals. The nearest pub is just a mile away on the banks of the river Teme with outdoor terraces allowing visitors to soak up the atmosphere.

BY CAR: If travelling North from the South, take the B4361 from the A49 signposted Ludlow. From the North, travelling South, drivers are advised to by-pass Ludlow completely before turning right onto the B4361 and approaching Ludlow from the South. Once you are on the B4361 continue along the road which will go down a hill towards a river bridge with traffic lights. Before the bridge, turn left, sign posted Wigmore/Burrington and note our tourism sign with a tent, caravan and horse shoe. Follow the Wigmore/Burrington Road for just under 1 mile and we are sign posted on the left hand side, just at the edge of the forest.
