DO NOT USE SAT NAV OR ANY POST CODE DIRECTIONS as they direct to the wrong place and or down a single track road with sharp bends - especially unsuitable for anyone towing or new to the area. OUR DIRECTIONS: - On A55 after Bangor cross over Britania Bridge onto Anglesey, take 2nd slip road A5025 to Benllech/Amlwch. Go through Benllech to Moelfre roundabout (with anchor on it); turn right to Moelfre & after fish & chip shop take first road left opposite village store. Go out of village for 1 mile & take first ROAD (NOT a private road or farm track) RIGHT AT A CROSS ROAD: signposted "Traeth Lligwy Beach"; a dead end sign at road entrance. Take first entrance on the left which has the site sign. Moelfre 1 mile, Benllech 3 miles.

A minutes (1-2) walk to the all Wales coastal path which goes in two directions from the beach: one follows the cliff edge to the village of Moelfre, the other along cliffs, coves and beaches to Dulas Estuary, then inland over a hill to the Pilot Boat Inn. Also, within a 10 minute walk is an Ancient Monument site, the ancient village known as Din Lligwy and a neolithic and early Bronze Age burial chamber and derelict church. A cycle path goes past the site. MOELFRE 1 mile away: a picturesque fishing village with a long maritime history and a small sheltered shingle bay with working Lifeboat station, Seawatch Centre, shipwreck monuments, commemorative sculptures, village store, pub, cafe and restaurant. BENLLECH 3 miles away: 3 mini supermarkets, pubs, takeaways, hair dressers and doctors.
