A487 Synod Inn take A486 into New Quay. just after New Quay sign see 30 mph speed signs then The Penrhiwllan Inn public house turn left up lane beside it follow uphill. (**it`s not quite as narrow as it seems when the summer grass has grown and there are good passing places**) Continue for one mile the site is behind the only property (Ty Rhos Farmhouse) on left. Look for Red plant pots and take next entrance left to site (sign posted).
A487 Llanarth take the B4342 through Gilfachreda to New Quay, continue up hill, at Penrhiwllan Inn public house on right, turn right, Continue for one mile the site is behind the only property on left.( look for Red plant pots!) take next entrance to site(sign posted)
Those with caravans or motorhomes are advised to take the route down from Synod Inn (A487 onto A486) as the roads through New Quay from Llanarth are very tight and can be busy.
Nearby Attractions
The site is located just one mile outside New Quay and pleasant 10 minute stroll to the local pub (Penrhiwllan Inn) at the end of the lane which serves a large selection of great food. The nearest mini supermarket(Costcutters) can be found in New Quay(on A486 toward Llanarth at top of village), along with an array of Ice cream shops ,Cafes, Takeaways, newsagents and gift shops toward the sea plus several pubs. Cross Inn also has a good mini supermarket. Nearest fuel Station is at Llanarth. Electric charging now available in The `Drs Surgery main car park` at the top end. Overlooking the seafront The Penwig Hotel is dog friendly, also does another good selection of foods. New Quay has a lovely sandy beach for kids and two dog friendly beaches.
The area around the site is all farmland with several footpaths and rights of way for those who enjoy trekking or walking the dog. The coastal path along the cliffs of the Marine Heritage Coastline is only a 10 minute walk away, across two fields.
From there you can ramble up the coast to New Quay and beyond or down the coast to Cwmtydu and beyond!. There are many less known pathways that can get you to quiet coves and valleys.
This gives access to some of the best unspoilt coastal landscapes in the country with spectacular views, especially the sunsets.
