From Dorchester follow the A35 to Bridport. Go through the town and take the B3162 for 1.5 miles, turning left at the Dottery crossroads for Broadoak and the Shave Cross Inn (a distance of 3.5 miles). At the pub turn left down the Whitchurch road and continue for a 1/3 mile to the first farmhouse on the left.

The Jurassic Coast namely, West Bay and Charmouth, is less than 8 miles away, with historic Lyme Regis only 12 miles away. Charmouth is a good beach for children and fossil hunting

Yeovil and Exeter, for more extensive shopping, are within easy driving distance, with Yeovil being approximately 24 miles and Exeter 35 miles away.
