From the north: exitJnc 25 from M5 Follow signs to Minehead throught Taunton On A358 take left turn under bridge onto B3224 signposted Raleighs Cross, Wheddon Cross continue on this road, do not turn off, pass Raleghs Inn on you left and continue on the B3190 towards Bampton, Lowtrow Cross is 4 miles further on, on right, 1 mile north of Upton
From the South: Exit Jnc 27 from M5 continue along A361 at 1st round a bout turn right, follow signs to Bampton, go through Bampton up the hill towards Wiveliscombe, immediately take 1st left onto B3190 passing through Morebath and Upton, Lowtrow Cross on left 1 mile after Upton
Nearby Attractions
Wimbleball Lake and Clatworthy reservoir both offer fly fishing, excellent walking and cycling Haddon Hill a piece of moorland with its own herd of Exmoor ponies overlooking Wimberball is a 30 min walk or a 5 minute drive from the site and has sailing, windsurfing, paddle boards and canoes.
Try pony trekking across the moor or visit Dunster with its medieval castle, Knightshayes Court, Tarr Steps the oldest clapper bridge in the country, Blue Anchor Bay, Porlock and Minehead, numerous cider farms and tea shops.
The less energetic can go for a scenic drive or take an Exmoor Safari, book a ticket on the West Somerset Railway or a ride on the Tiverton Horse drawn canal barge.
After a busy day enjoy a meal and a drink in the pub next door or just relax on site and watch the sun set over the moor.
