Directions

Head onto Holyhead Road and follow the road for approximately 2.1 miles, passing through Pentre Berw village. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the A55 towards Holyhead and merge onto the North Wales Expressway (A55). Continue for approximately 5.3 miles and exit at junction 5 onto the A4080 towards Rhosneigr. When you reach the roundabout, take the first exit and follow the road for approx 2.7 miles before turning right. Follow the road and you'll soon see the site entrance on your left.

Nearby Attractions

A 10-minute drive away, the Anglesey Circuit draws crowds to its racetrack with a packed calendar of motorsports events.

If its thrills on water youre seeking, head to Trearddur and Menai Bridge (15 and 20 minutes' drive) for kayaking and diving excursions to the some 1,200 wrecks off Anglesey's waters.

Gentler sea trips, taking in puffin colonies and the Skerries lighthouse, leave from Trearddur and sea-fishing excursions from Holyhead (20 minutes).

If its heights you're after, its about half an hour to start walking Mynydd Tŵr, Angleseys highest mountain, and Snowdonia is a 40-minute drive away to access paths up 3,000-foot Tryfan.

For history, medieval Beaumaris Castle half an hour away has a moat and mighty fine views over the Menai Strait; while youre at it drop in on Beaumaris Gaol for grisly tours and tales of torture.
