There`s a plentiful supply of Norfolk strolls or pedals around Acorn Meadow, a well-maintained dog-friendly countryside site. There are signposts scattered around the edge of the site pointing you in some splendid directions… perhaps to the Peddars Way past pingo ponds and Roman roads or Cycle Route 13? The Pingo Trail is another top route for seeing historic pingo ponds (and see them you should, as these rare ponds are mostly only found in Norfolk).

Thompson Water, famed for the same periglacial landforms and popular with dragonflies and the occasional otter, is 25 minutes` walk away. If you`re looking to get an idea of the wider picture, the site is 50 minutes` drive away from The Broads and Norwich and an hour from Great Yarmouth on the Norfolk coast.

There`s a playground a few minutes` walk away and a sports hall 10 minutes` walk away. Plus, at the end of the day, tasty food is served up at the local pub 10 minutes` walk away.
