Outdoorsy families can head for Go Ape or follow scenic biking and walking trails in Dalby Forest (40 minutes), and if the weather turns against you, there`s an indoor pool at Alpamare UK swimming complex (15 minutes).
Scarborough (15 minutes) has lots to offer families: a clifftop castle to explore, mini-train rides down the promenade, boat cruises to look for dolphins, and a choice of sandy beaches backed by amusement arcades.
