Please note this site has been purchased by the Flower of May Group, and is no longer a separate independent site, it has been merged with Muston Grange Caravan Park
All the previous camping pitches now form part of Muston Grange Caravan Park - you can find their listing here where you will also find the booking form.
Another great stay at Centenary Way. As usual, the site was immaculate, with well maintained pitches. We camped on the small field where smaller tents pitch.
It is always a little oasis, where birds are unafraid to visit and entertain the campers. As it was the beginning of school holidays, there were quite a few children on site, enjoying themselves and all very respectful of other campers.
There were not queues for any of the facilities and apart from cut grass being trampled into the toilet blocks, they were clean and tidy.
My only frustration, as campers without electric hook-ups, is that the freezer, where ice packs can be frozen, is kept in a locked room and you have to request the owners to open the room, and only between 9am and 5pm. On a few occasions this was not very convenient. Flexibility to use the freezer at the campers convenience would make it a 10 star site.
Had a brilliant time at Centenary Way. We found the campsite immaculately kept. We camped in the non-electric, small field and it was perfect for our needs - quiet, flat with well cut grass and we had it to ourselves for 3 nights - the caravan and motor home sections were much busier.
The toilets were always very clean during our stay and the showers were never busy and were perfectly adequate to get a hot shower (temperature not controllable but fine) and always spotless.
We made use of the freezer to freeze the ice packs - by arrangement with the owner.
We enjoyed walking most days and did not use our car once as there are many things to see very locally, including lots of places to eat. Tesco is only about 15 minutes walk away too.
Our favourite day was the coastal walk to Scarborough along the Cleveland Way. It was about 9 miles of stunning views of the sea and the land and got the bus back - well worth doing.
It was our 4th visit and we still have lots to see in the future so we will be back.
Would love to see facilities for recycling next time and then it would be perfect!
First time campers, so everything was a learning curve. Me(mum/grandma) daughter, son and 4 grandchildren, youngest 8mths.
I picked this site due to the fact that we didn't need the car once there.
Reading the reviews beforehand didn't put me off in anyway(i like to find out for myself) NO 50p for a shower, they are FREE! Oh and there are 4 unisex ones.
Toilets and showers are cleaned regularly, but obviously at times they get messy. Which is expected with multiple use.
There are washing and drying facilities(we needed that with 4 kids) you can even freeze your ice blocks.
The campsite is spotless and well set out. We had non electric as we booked quite late and the playground was in sight, which was also a bonus with young children.
Beach, town, boat lake, crazy golf, park, etc all within 10-15mins walk.
All in all even though we had to leave early, due to a poorly baby, we had a great time and couldn't fault it in anyway.
We will be booking again for next year. via mobile
Set in the midst of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, a family run farm with a stream meandering through the site and breathtaking views, with plenty to do nearby. Tent and campervan pitches with or without electric. Five star shower block with showers, washbasins, toilets, disabled and family room. Sinks for pot washing, a kettle and microwave, charge points, communal fridge freezers. Fire pits are available to hire. Wifi
A small shop sells essentials and an on-site cafe serves delicious food and drinks! Freshly brewed coffee, sausage sandwiches, or warm pastries, in the evening, enjoy stone-baked pizzas. Luxury timber pods and two magical bell tents with private hot tubs are also available to hire. Don't forget to meet their friendly family of alpacas! And all within five minutes of Bolton Abbey and Hesketh Farm Park Find out more here
Why are people saying adult only site?? This is not an adult only, plenty of children, they also have a play area and a fairy garden!
Good site and location, toilets need updating. Why does this site not have an email address and does not except cards. They need up to date technology, its what people expect

Biggest issue was the shower blocks - only 2 shower cubicles per male/female. The temperature control in one of the ladies' wouldn't budge - result - cold shower. On the second morning, one of the mens' did not produce water - result - no shower! 50p was returned for that - but I don't think it's right to charge anyway.
I'd seriously recommend an upgrade - increasing quantity as well as quality - there are quite a lot of pitches on site.
The owners were not around to answer the bell in daylight hours on the two occasions we rang it. I'm partly assuming that is because the weather was freezing and wet, as it was early in the season.
However, they do keep the site very nice. Subject to the above, we would like to come again!
We have been visiting Centenary Way for many years and mostly 2-3 times per year. Others have mentioned the toilets and showers, but we have always found them clean and tidy. They are not west end hotel facilities, but a small site of 25 pitches does not afford that.
The pitches are bigger than most sites, the ground is drained and the grass is immaculate. We stayed at Easter 2018 and I admit this was a challenge 'weatherwise' but the owners were great - as always.
Do not tell anyone about this site as we couldn't get in in August.
They were fully booked. We had to go to a competitor nearby, but went straight back to Centenary Way in October!
The owners, Martin and Louise are ever present and very helpful.
Stayed for 3 nights, makes a useful base for Brid & Scarboro either by bus or train, both really good services. The site is an easy 20 minute walk into the centre of Filey Big Tesco near to bus and train station. Spotless facilities on the site, 20p for a shower lasts a while.
We stayed in our tent at Centenary Way for a week. The camping pitches are generously sized (we rocked a family size 6 berth with extra side porch), and clean. Also, as we were dropped off with our camping gear we used our vehicle space as a little 'garden' that us and our 3 big dogs could relax in.
Toilet and shower facilities are small but adequate and cleaned thoroughly every day. You won't get a super luxury power shower here but its perfectly fine for the job of getting a good wash.
There is a small utility room with a washing machine and dryer which you pay to use if you need. There is also a chest freezer provided for freezing your cool box ice packs.
The kids playground is a little old fashioned, lots of metal bar equipment. However it incorporates the fastest roundabout I've seen in years and super high swings! Our little boy loved it.
There's a dog walk area within the site to take the pooches for their business, with bins for the waste provided.
There were many campers we met who visit Centenary Way regularly, and what a pleasant bunch of people. Our little lad had many lovely little playmates on site.
Fairy garden cafe is super cute, and do little tubs of ice cream for the kids that don't cost a fortune.
As for proximity to the beach/shops, it is a surprisingly short walk. Down a bridleway path lined with blackberries that passes a seaside donkeys field, it only takes 10 minutes to the clifftops/steps down to the beach. Or turn left after the donkeys to get into the town centre. Really easy mission. We will definitely be returning, its perfect location for people who prefer not to drive everywhere. Really happy with our visit!
