A fantastic stopover. Welcomed on arrival and that contact was as good as the correspondence prior to arrival.
Booking was absolutely seamless. Definitely value for money, old toilet block not the best but was advised so at check-in and informed of the new block, which was cleaned daily.
Definitely worth the extra walk! Plenty of eateries close by should you not wish to cook.
Quiet nights and peaceful days.
Certainly recommend a visit; we’ll be going back.

Quirky doesn't begin to describe this site. Camping itself is fairly basic but pitches seem quite well laid out and electric points within decent reach (although a 20m cable reel might be advantageous for some pitches).
The toilets, although well looked after with cleaning and stocking, are well beyond their "demolish by" date. They might be saved if the floor boarding and supports is replaced with recycled plastic joists and composite decking boards - pricey but future proofing.
The big draw is the huge number of antique (and junk) sellers, plus the 3 floors of antique sellers in The Granary, a couple of hundred yards along the road (still part of the same outfit as far as I could tell)
Theres also a regular classic car meet (well managed and with marshals taking pains to make sure you're not inconvenienced).
There are also larger "events" - so it's worth checking their schedules if you're thinking about booking.
The on site snack bar and microbrewery are brilliant - I can vouch for the quality of the ham rolls.
The whole place is run in a really relaxed and friendly way.
Basic, slightly scruffy, quirky, well run, friendly.
We'll very likely be back!

Repeat visit for us.
Toilet block portacabin dated & creaking. Shower portraying faring a bit better. Both kept nice & clean though. Not up to the Club site standards (or prices!) but we love it anyway.
Great friendly staff, fantastic location by the huge antiques centre & a great micropub popular with the local bikers.
We'll be back.

This site is quirky rustic but we loved it
Toilets and showers are very out dated but they all worked well and were clean
Hidden behind a range of antique shops motor bike museum and “junk” shops you will never stay anywhere like it again
There is always something going on motor bike shows car shows music and the green bottle micro pub great ales lovely staff friendly locals.
Out and about there are two other pub restaurants and many places to visit like Malden and Southend found a great pub in holbridge on the river crouch the Anchor wonderful setting and food
We will be back

Welcoming. Ideally located for all things antique and places to eat within couple of minutes walk. Quiet.
Great micro pub attached to site.
Toilets and shower clean as such but in need of an upgrade/overhaul.

Excellent value. Friendly site. Handy place to stopover if you're heading to Southend.
There's plenty to browse in the yard, or if you have money to spare you can browse the antiques shops just outside the site.

Excellent sized pitch with freedom to choose.
EH was included in price. Good value £24 per night for 2 adults plus dog.
Toilet and shower facilities were functional and clean and could probably do with modernisation but they worked OK for us.
Lovely on site Taproom with a nice selection of beers.
Walking distance of train station and two pubs.
Plenty of quirky antiques and collectable stalls and sheds on site if that's your thing.
