 The only good thing about this site is the location, it is a 10/15 min walk to cayton bay beach. Two mins from a pub and 5 mins from a garage.
We paid £35 per night non electric for a tiny pitch, all campers were packed in like sardines, very little privacy as the owners house looks upon the site, it feels like you’re camping in someone’s garden.
It’s obvious the owner is trying to maximise their revenue but at the cost of privacy and value for money. There are a few wooden camping pods that over look the camping field and 3 bell tents, not sure on the cost of them but they didn’t have much outdoor space around them either and I could see into their space from my tent.
The road noise is extremely loud and annoying.
There’s also a fly problem allegedly attributable to the nearby sheep field however when I’ve camped on a sheep farm I didn’t have the fly issue there.
The toilets and showers are fine.
All in all, it was ok for 2 nights but I wouldn’t return

Lovely owner, quiet site,
Lots of local activity's nearby, flower of may for swimming pool and filey bird and animal centre a must,
Ideal for a base for days out.

Mixed feelings about this campsite. However, has the potential to become an excellent site with some thought and consistencies?
Pros - great base for visiting other local resorts closeby ie Cayton Bay, Filey, Bridlington, Scarborough.
Flower of May Swimming pool, Leisure Centre, Grub pub, Fish & chips, Farm shop / cafe within half a mile
Toilet facilities kept clean generally
Very friendly owner Rebecca, trying her best to keep everyone happy with help of two sons and a couple of friends
Cons - Pitches not marked out clearly for campers to pitch safely?
A lot of flies about apparently caused by fertilising at nearby pumpkin fields?
Inconsistencies with hot water from showers/:basins, and sufficient toilet rolls ?
Chemical disposal drainage not fit for purpose?
Pitch prices too high presently relating to Cons listed. However
ALL Cons could easily be rectified with minimal effort / organisation, to make this a very nice site

Lovely campsite. Facilities - kept clean but could be upgraded slightly.
Only one sink to wash up in but this was not a problem.
The owner was very friendly and accommodating and nothing was never too much trouble.
Great location with some excellent walks along the Cleveland path to some beautiful beaches.

Brilliant location close to major towns.
Owner very helpful.
Facilities a little dated but acceptable.
Farm shop next door to site and shop and garage at the end of the lane from the campsite.

Really nice place. Lovely Owner Rebeca. She is very busy but really organized. Care about customers and taking care of clean toilets etc.
There is everything what you need. Electric, hot water, toilets and showers. It’s close everywhere.
I would definitely recommend this place and I am sure we will come back there.

This was a lovely site with great facilities.
Wonderful area and great for families.
Showers were nice and warm.
Very hygienic.
All round very friendly.

Very small field, overcrowded.
Wet rooms are new but don’t really work as if people are showering there are no toilets available.
Good location for coast walk to Filey.
Lovely farm shop and cafe next door but awful manure smell when we were there but that’s not owners fault.
Great for young camping families.
The most expensive site we have stayed on.

Lovely site run by a friendly and helpful owner.
Toilet and shower blocks kept clean.
Great location as 20 min walk to the beach at Cayton bay, short drive to Scarborough and Filey.
Site is dog friendly.
The site isn't the biggest we've stayed at and was quite full for bank holiday but wasn't packed, the kids had space to run about still, just when it was at its busiest maybe not enough to have a good kick about with the football etc without risk of ball catching other peoples tents.
Car needed to be parked at road side (right next to the field), but there was space to pull up to unload and load our stuff so not a problem.
Also offers glamping with hot tubs which we may look at for another time, but would be more than happy to return to camp.

Lovely site in a great location !
We went with a group for a birthday and we had a plot to ourselves in front of the house which was convenient really close to the beach and the cleveland way for walking
