This was our first stay at greengate farm caravan and campsite, the site itself is immaculate, our pitch had its own picnic table and a drinking water supply and looked out over open fields,
Stella the owner greeted us on arriving, very nice host who made us feel welcome,
Toilets and showers were spotless,
Overall worth a visit if your after a nice chill out weekend

Excellent little site on the edge of the village. Welcome was very pleasant by the owner who supplied information on what to do and walks in the area. Very quiet and peaceful.
Most pitches are hard standing with electric and water provided to each pitch. A picnic table is also present which we found useful to use rather than setting up our own table and chairs.
Showers and toilet block exceptionally clean, although only 1 of each for each sex. Not a problem while we were there, but if full you may have to time it right?.
Also washing up facilities and an information hut with DVDS and books to borrow.
We would definitely stay here again if we come back to this part of the world.

The Three Peaks footpath runs right through the farm adjacent to the campsite with lots of walks direct from the site from easy strolls to climbing the Three Peaks, and five minutes to the pub!
Tent pitches only, no electric hookups. Toilet and shower block and washing up facilities. Sit, eat and socialise in the old barn, with free wifi, charging lockers, freezer. Hidden gem quiet peaceful well maintained, level hard standing with EHU and water close by a picnic table assigned to each pitch, clean toilet shower units,
Views over towards the Yorkshire moors plenty of walks from the site, ideal for visiting Bedal, Richmond, Masham, Leyburn and great for a long journey break when travelling on the A1(M) as it is so close you can an see it in the distance but cannot hear it.
Plan to make use of it again. Stella is a pleasant welcoming hostess.

Loved that the site was well kept with clean toilets, outside wash up area & shower & lovely peaceful views.
With a very pleasant & helpful host Stella.
Good pricing also, & great to be out in country surroundings but not to far for visiting other areas.

We’ve stayed here many times now and continue to return at least twice a year.
Set in a rural setting in the village of Crakehall, Greengate Farm is close to the village centre, which is a pleasant walk away through fields and down by the burn.
The site is immaculately kept, with the grassed areas pristinely mowed every day during the growing season.
The small facilities block is immaculately clean with a powerful free shower facility.
All pitches for caravans are hard standing and they are semi- serviced, all having their own fresh water standpipes.
Owner Stella is friendly and helpful, she is around every day around midday in the unlikely event of any issues.
An excellent little site then, perfect for anyone who enjoys a peaceful countryside setting.
