Having read the reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk I was really looking forward to visiting Greengate Farm, and wow - I was not disappointed

Stella runs the site and she is so friendly, helpful and great fun! We had a tent and were put on Pitch 7 which was spacious. Pitches 7-12 have views out across beautiful open farmland with sheep and amazing views. We pitched the tent facing out to these.

It's a small site, very peaceful and quiet. There is just 1 toilet and shower per gender but we never had to wait for the shower and rarely had to wait for the loo. Talking of which, they are spotless and nicely appointed.

The loos are clean with a sink, shelf, mirror, handwash and paper towels. The showers (free) also have a sink, are spacious with adjustable pressure and temperature and are continuous - no having to keep pressing a button. There are 2 outside, covered washing up stations. Plenty of (very) hot water

There are plenty of water taps around the site so never a need to walk more than a couple of yards, and electric hookups.

The site is just a couple of minutes off the A684 so is really close to Bedale and very handy for Leyburn, Hawes, Aysgarth etc. It's also not far to Richmond, Catterick, Masham so a good base for local travel especially with so much to see and do in the area.

Prices are reasonable - at the time of writing £22 per night for a pitch including 2 people and car

Even with my Victor Meldrew hat on there really is nothing negative to say about this site at all. Mega friendly owner, great facilities, amazing views and an excellent location

Keep returning time and time again.

Beautiful site, immaculately clean and so very peaceful.

Stella is very friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful views overlooking fields and ideally situated for walks and cycle rides.

Nice walk into Bedale and nearby village.

Could not fault the site and returning again soon.

Last visited this site in 2016 and the high standards from then have not changed, I can honestly say they are probably better.

Water at each pitch now n your very own picnic table.

Area for walking the dog, on lead.

Very well maintained and cleanliness is second to none.

Stella is an excellent host and nothing is to much bother.

You wonít be disappointed with this site.

Only negative is the access road a bit bumpy but worth it once you reach the site.

We will definitely return there.

7 gravel hard standings (slightly sloping) with generous grass area, each pitch has EHU, water and itís own bench with views across open fields. There are also a couple of EHU grass pitches for tents and non-EHU for a couple more.

There is an information room with books & DVDs to borrow and information about the area and places to eat - there are a couple of takeaways that deliver to site.

There are two showers and two toilets (one of each for each sex) which were immaculate, powerful and hot showers without a push button in sight, a washing up area, Elsan waste and a Motorhome wastewater drive over.

There are numerous walks and cycles along quiet country lanes.

The village is a short walk with pub serving food (unable to comment as didnít use) but the nearest shops are in Bedale which is a 10minute drive - walkable within an hour or 20minutes by cycle.

Just so peaceful and relaxing - owners lovely & helpful.

Great place, friendly owner, peaceful, .

Toilets and showers cleaned every day, hut with information and DVDs and books to borrow and fridge freezer.

The bad bit is the access down an awful unmade lane, but worth it.

Lovely site well run in a quiet beautiful area.

We had a problem with the lock on our caravan and were unable to get in and the site owners sorted a locksmith who arrived in about 20 minutes.
