Our son booked this site as he was entering the Weymouth Iron man. We were in our touring caravan and he used his tent. They allowed him to pitch his tent right next door to us.

We had originally booked for two nights but decided to stay an extra night whilst our son was able to check out later than the normal time. This was really appreciated.

The site was an excellent find with excellent facilities and in a good location for visiting Weymouth and the surrounding area.

We would definitely return if we are in the area and recommend. Thanks Higher Moor Farm.

What a gem of a site. We had originally booked for two nights as we were visiting the area to watch our son take part in the Weymouth Iron Man event.

Our son had a tent which they let us pitch right next to our caravan. The event finished quite late in the afternoon and they had said it was okay for us all to leave later than the normal check out time.

We decided to pay for an extra night and spent three nights on the site.

We’ve been to many sites and this one was excellent and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Mixed feelings about this site. On the one hand, it is a lovely site, well-kept with excellent showers and loos. Free Wi-Fi, though a bit patchy at the top of the site but no complaints. Good shop. Reasonable price per night.

Close to Weymouth and the coast. Lovely views, and also peaceful. And this is where the ‘mixed’ bit comes in. On Wednesday and Thursday we experienced all the nice things I’ve mentioned. However, on returning from a day out on Friday, we were met with what I can only describe as Bedlam.

We wondered why there were no clearly indicated pitches, and we could please ourselves where we pitched, and now realise it is so that tents and vans can be packed in, cheek-by-jowl anywhere and everywhere on the site. And boy, did they! For instance, the dog walking area disappeared under tents and vehicles.

We were pitched up by the play area which was ok except in front of the play area bit, a football goal post had been randomly placed in just the right position for missed kicks to lob the ball into whoever was parked up behind it rather than into the fence around the play area.

A little bit of thought re. Placing this would have alleviated a lot of irritation. The noise continued late into the evening. Respect for other people’s space was completely absent, specifically relating to the ‘missed kicks’. (But what can you expect if there are no defined pitches?) This was what really got my goat, not so much the noise.

Would we return? Yes, but with caveats. As I say, it’s a lovely site in many ways.

We visited Higher Moor farm campsite after watching it aired on the tv on a camping programme and had high expectations which were fully met,

The site is a mixture of caravan/motorhomes/tents and pods. You are allowed to pick your own pitch,

There are 2 toilet blocks which were excellent and professionally cleaned every day.

There is a small shop in reception and the staff and selection of goods were very good.

There is a children's playground at the top of the site also

The site is gently sloping so the pitch's aren't dead level and the hard-standings are made of dirt and stones which tend to stick up through the awning floor covering.

Price is reasonable compared to a lot of south coast sites and only a few miles from Weymouth.

We have a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend and cant wait to visit again

2nd year we've stayed here. And still love it. Even through this year was different due to covid19. But even before site was kept beautifully clean. And facilities are great. WiFi shop playground freezer for freezer blocks.

Washing /tumble dryers machines. Micro waves(not there at moment due to covid19) daniel and staff are always pleasant and there to help.

Pizza van on certain days. Ground coffee van. Hotdogs & chip van to. Days advertised on board.

Loved our stay and shall be returning.

Limited nearby walks. No footpath from site. No nearby shops or pub. Pylons across some of site, buzzing at night.

WiFi reception poor. Excellent toilet shower block.

Pitches good.

More expensive than alternatives nearby.

Just returned from a week on this site and enjoyed our stay, the site is a mixture of caravan/motorhomes/tents and pods. You are allowed to pick your own pitch, there are water taps scattered through out.

There are 2 toilet blocks although one was closed presumably due to the season winding down, the remaining one was excellent and professionally cleaned every day. There is a small shop in reception and the staff were very good. There is a children's playground at the top of the site and despite using mainly adult only sites-due to the school hols ending there was little noise

The site is accessed through number controlled barrier

Small negative points-the site is gently sloping so the pitchs aren't dead level-take leveller's and the hard-standings are made of dirt and stones which tend to stick up through the awning floor covering. Price is reasonable compared to a lot of south coast sites and only a few miles from Weymouth.

Meal wise we ate at 2 pubs the Marquis of Granby and the old ship inn and had excellent meals in both.

Higher Moor Farm is a wonderful campsite. We stayed for a week with family and friends including children aged 5-14 years.

The toilets and shower facilities on site are impeccably clean. There is a wonderful park and a games barn for the children. They have a vintage marquee that hosts great entertainment and the owner of the campsite is amazing, he joins in and encourages everyone to get up and dance.

The atmosphere of the whole campsite is very friendly, happy and helpful. They also have a lovely shop on site selling local produce. This was our second holiday at Higher Moor Farm, our first time was August 2013 and we will be having many more holidays there in the future.

There are so many places to visit while staying there, Durdle Door, Lulworth castle, Lulworth Cove, Portland Bill, Corfe castle, Weymouth Beach, Chesil Beach, the Jurassic coast and so many more.

There is a lovely little pub called The Elm Tree Inn just a short drive from Higher Moor Farm, they serve delicious food and the management were very welcoming and friendly.

There is nothing I dislike about this wonderful campsite.

Immaculate campsite, near, level pitches, clean and fresh toilets and showers.

Really family friendly, lovely little playground.

Close to Weymouth and the fantastic Jurassic Coast. A great base to explore from.

Owners really friendly and helpful.
