The site is close to the lindesfarne crossing, a few pitches have views over to the island most others have views of the farmland with the sea in the distance.

There was an audible hum/buzz all day and night from the farm buildings sadly, and noise from the train line, late evening and early morning.

The ladies showers are enormous but sadly the push button lasted 10 seconds each press. The shower was hot but with nowhere to put your bottles or soap except the floor which wasn't good. The floor was slippy and not one shower was accessible with any handles, so I used once but couldn't use again. 2 hairdryers for free available.

Toilets arnt in same the building, even mens showers and toilets are separate which is a bit of a faff. Not enough of either, was a await for mens showers and both toilets. Mens showers older.

Toilets coded, as off the car park through a gate, and we witnessed several people trying to get in from off site.

Handed a glossy leaflet but it didn't have the walk on and several people were looking for it and some returning instead of finding the path. This should be on the leaflet, especially as some land was private and obviously people didn't want to walk over a field they shouldn't.

The path could be better marked really. Also a walk out to the estuary and bird hide which is nice but again we discovered it too late. Down the field and turn left on the coastal path. Hares in the fields were lovely to watch.

CDU point next to pitch 9 which cant have been pleasant for them, could do with being hedged/ fenced off.

Quite an expensive site and I expected a bit more. We found the concrete base we were on wasn't quite level and the hedge blocks the view if you sit out. Van next to us put their awning out on our grass, which had a marker saying our awning area! Nothing was done so we couldn't sit out anyway. Café next door for breakfasts and lunch but supper is only wed to Sat. It also meant a lot of car noise from the car park, I think reception is in a bad place and should be moved to the gate, as a lot of vehicles came in on spec and idled over for ages.

The site wasn't a quiet place.

This was a two night stay in order to visit Lindisfarne on our trip up to Scotland. The site location was perfect as it’s only a short drive to Lindisfarne.

The hard standing pitches were very level and well spaced with a tidy grass area next to each.

The facilities were modern and well maintained, there is a restaurant adjacent to the site (which we didn’t visit ).

The staff were very friendly and helpful the view from our pitch was expansive but not awe inspiring and we didn’t get chance to explore the area on foot.

A peaceful stop over on a long trip ??

Location ideal, views wonderful and facilities very good. New owners have added improvements with lovely womens showers too.

Great cafe Restaurant and cosy bothy bar with open fire.

Ideal location for Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, And amazing beaches. We came to walk the Pilgrims Way. Been here many times and will return. Lovely level pitches built into the elevated landscape.

Would be a 10 out of 10 if bothy bar open more often. Nothing available Sunday evening and when only staying for the weekend this is a shame. Cost a little more than other sites but the views are well worth it.

A dog shower outdoors would add a fabulous touch as it appeared all campers had dogs with them.

Fantastic location just a short ride to the causeway to Holy Island, the views over the Island and to Banburgh castle and the Farne Islands are stunning. Which is probably why the pitch fee is on the high side (£36 a night).

Our pitch was a level concrete block, with EHU, with a grass area by its side if we needed to put an awning onto.

The site office is open between 9am & closes 5pm, although all of our dealings, booking, pitch allocation etc was done either on the phone or online.

The Men’s Toilets & Showers are tired and need a makeover, but showers are hot and both were clean, there is a new shower block for the ladies, but an older toilet block. There are two pot wash areas one outside the ladies toilet and two the other side of the building in the camping area.

Just off the camping area there is an independently run Restaurant and bar on site, but only opens 9 till 5. We had breakfast twice and drinks once whilst staying, breakfast was nice and hot.

Ignore sat nav instructions the campsite entrance is over the railway crossing, up the hill, as you start to descend there is a Sharpe right bend, the entrance is left on the bend, but it is well signposted.

I have marked customer service and site facilities down, because no-one is on site after 5pm and the gents facilities need a makeover. However the views are stunning and it is an ideal site to stop at if visiting Holy Island.

Cycled here after visiting Lindisfarne - this is the nearest campsite to Lindisfarne and only about a mile from the end of the causeway, and there's a good off road track for walkers and cyclists.

Small tent and 1 person, £18 per night.

New and spotlessly clean toilets and separate showers, with excellent hot water and powerful hair dryers. Small wash up area outside ladies loos.

Restaurant and bar on site - I only had breakfast before leaving but it was very good and nice hot coffee.

Location handy for English coastal path which I used for cycling back to Berwick upon Tweed (took about 2 hrs). I have no idea if you can get to the site by public transport but fine for bikes, walkers and private vehicles.

On a clear day, a good view out over the coast and Lindisfarne.

You get a bit of noise from the railway line but nothing annoying for me.

11 tent spots, well spaced out.

This was an unexpectedly lovely site. Based on a working farm and very well maintained pitches. These were proper hard standing pitches; made of concrete and perfectly level. Grass to the side for the awning. Amazing views over Holy Island and Bambirgh castle.

The coast path is easily accessible and it’s a fairly easy cycle ride over to Holy Island. One day we took the bus to Berwick; the sense of history was well worth it.

There’s a cafe on site; they close at 5pm but do very good evening meals on a Friday and Saturday night. There’s a bar on site, too. They open Wednesday - Saturday and serve takeaway fish and chips and burgers on a Wednesday and Thursday. We had fish and chips which was really good. Shame we had to have it as takeaway and that we couldn’t eat in the bar to enjoy with a nice pint (the Timothy Taylor was really very good). The Lindisfarne Inn is a 20 minute walk away (or 5 minute drive).

The ladies shower block is new and excellent, with very spacious cubicles. Gents showers a little tired and musty but clean and good hot water.

Based on other reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect of this site. It was very very peaceful. And we thoroughly enjoyed it here and very much look forward to returning.

We had a pleasant stay. The people were very friendly. The food in the Cafe was good, and we were sorry, that they closed at 5 pm on weekdays.

The shower rooms are older and quite spartanic, the water this time too hot.

The nature around is beautiful for hiking and biking.

Showers a very cold Luke warm push button style. With a musty smell

Generally the facility block isn’t cleaned to a high standard

Unable to contact any one as coffee shop is closed

Overall site has good hard standing pitches A Motorhome drain off point and cold taps to refill fresh water.

Great location and view. The price charged isn’t cheap so you would expect showers to be hot. Especially as only three vans on site

--------

Site gave me a discount due to experiencing problems with the hot water in showers

Happy with outcome

Thank you

Lovely site but a bit pricy for what's there is here. £63 for 2 adults and a dog for 2 nights.

Bar not open and cafe/ restaurant limited opening with coffee and cakes.

Toilets clean. A little disappointed. Had planned to stay longer but chose not to because of cost.

Brilliant site, overlooking Holy Island. Large, level hard standing pitches and decent facilities.

Excellent bothy bar and cafe on site.

Short drive to Holy Island, Berwick, Bamburgh and Eyemouth.

Lindisfarne Inn, 1 mile away, does good food abs drink.
