We used this site for a one night stopover enroute to Cornwall.

The site is literally just off the A30. Some have commented about the noise. I can't say as it bothered us. The site has a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches. The pitches do vary in size, some are level and have a slight slope (don't think you will need any blocks though).

The facilities block is situated at the top end of the site (so bare this in mind if you chose a pitch at  the bottom of the park. The block is a little old but very clean, water waste and rubbish points are throughout the site. The chemical disposal point is also at the top end opposite the toilet block.

The site is well maintained and if you like walking or cycling this site is well worth a visit.  Their is also 2 bike hire companies right next tot he site.

On the other side of the A30 is a shell petrol station, Burger King and Greggs as well as a small cafe with off road parking.

A very pleasant and peaceful site. Despite the noise from the A30, the site itself feels very peaceful. The pitches are very well maintained and mostly flat. The hard standings do vary in size, but we were able to choose one large enough to accommodate our Opus Folding Camper, large canopy and en-suite tent.

The showers and toilets are old, but clean and well maintained. The showers are push button but there is plenty of hot water and the water pressure is good. There are lots of water taps and bins throughout the site. The owner and staff are very friendly.

The site is popular with walkers and cyclists as there is a gate which opens directly onto the Granite Way. Also perfect for dog walking.

The site is very easy to access from the A30, so would be a good stopover site.

We will definitely return.

Small campsite with all the basic needs covered.

There’s a pub adjacent, and easy access to the old railway line for walking / cycling.

Would I visit again? Yes very much so.

All positive. The site is well positioned just off the A30. Although there is some road noise it did not bother us. The pitches are well spaced and kept tidy.

The facilities are kept very clean and well supplied with toilet paper / paper towels.

The showers had plenty of hot water. The facilities are a little dated but the fact they are kept spotless does not detract from this lovely site.

The site is adjacent to the 'Pump and Pedal' pub and bike shop which makes delicious pizza.

It is the best site we have used in the area and we will definitely use it on our next trip.

I wrote a review 6 years for this campsite but would like to just do a small updated review.

It is a few years since we last visited this small site on our way to Hayle for just 1 night. It was the PERFECT stop over for us and hadn't changed at all.

The owner is really friendly, helpful and flexible. It is the ideal stop over going further south but also a lovely little site to stay at. It is a 5 minute walk to get onto Dartmoor and has some lovely views of it.

The old railway line is ideal for walking and a visit Meldon viaduct is a must to my mind. Cyclists use this old railway line as well so everyone needs to be aware of other users.

Dogs are welcome too and it is an ideal site for dogs.

The only downside is the noise from the A30 but the benefits of this little site outweigh this for me.

It a simple site with simple facilities but everything is very clean and tidy.

For us it is now a must stop on our way to visit family in Hayle
