Great campsite, lovely staff on check in and plenty to do with the kids, beach literally a few steps away and arcades and fair!
We also took our dog and he loved it!
Would highly recommend and stay again!

The site was right on the beach and near the harbour / town a 5 minute walk away.
On site the pub was lovely and excepted dogs and had a massive arcade for everyone.
A few independent traders set up on the sea front every morning with coffee and gifts.
The only negative was not enough toilets and shower facilities.

I was very pleased with my stay at sandy bay Porthcawl.
The showers were pleasantly warm enough and left clean by other users
Loads of open spaces for pet lovers ie dog walkers.
Hookup
Very good value for money
Staff very very helpful and pleasant asking me if I enjoyed my stay.
As a valleys boy I will most definitely support Porthcawl and the hitide for providing a professional service to us happy campers.
End of day it's the users of the camp site provide their own accommodation. So definitely stay again.

Honestly was such a lovely night! The staff was omg amazing! The manager was such a lovely, sweet, caring person, she deserves a bonus (may I add).
1 small thing I may add which isn’t a bother is just a bit of advice… is if the showers was cleaned more regularly! Obviously I understand the amount of guests showering there isn’t much time to be cleaning showers but there was a lot of rubbish in my cubicle and as a germaphobe like me😜 I didn’t want to touch other peoples rubbish or grime:)
Other than that I don’t want to be fussy as I know it’s hard when there’s quite a few guests around🤪 but other than that me and my boyfriend had the most wonderful stay and 200% do recommend staying and recommend staying again
Thank you hi-tide, see you again x🫶🏼
Love,
Millie + Mackay x

Very convenient location to Royal Porthcawl Golf. Friendly, helpful staff.
Sadly some guests do not treat the toilet/ shower facilities as well as they should.
Outside bins were overflowing & toilets we’re smelly.

Absolutely fantastic site, as we knew it would be, I spent my child hood in sandy bay and trecco and to take my son back to stay the night in the bowl was magic
We played in the sea, had lunch at the hightide, listened to the singers and just had a relaxed screen free time.

Staff were lovely
Site very basic but ok.
Key fob entry worked well.
I had non-ehu pitch. Lots of room as parked at far end. Lots of vans arrived over the weekend and was v v roudy indeed. 2 portaloos but didn’t venture is during a heatwave as, well… who would?
I didn’t stay the whole three nights as it didn’t feel particularly safe. Not the Hi-Tide’s fault, just the mix of people on this particular weekend. Several other people I spoke to left- he had been many times before, so not typical of the site’s usual ambiance, presumably
What I wasn’t comfortable with is having to put booking details on display in the van window as it had name, phone number, and email address on display for anyone - think this needs reviewing

Lovely site a short walk to a clean beach.
Toilets clean didn't use the showers.
Plenty of places to eat and drink and a short walk into town. Site is right by a large Aldi ideal.
Would visit again

Love the site, handy for shops and right on the beach.
Lovely clean toilets and shower cubicles.
Be good to have an extra toilet further up as quite a long walk from end.
Stayed two weekends will definitely be back soon
