We have been coming to this site on an irregular basis for well over 30 years (Small tent, big tent, and now campervan) - and we will keep returning as long as we keep camping! (Most people of our age that we spoke to had been doing the same).

The (camp)site is very sloping - but there are many places where you can get a levelish spot for a tent or van with a bit of care, and this also has the effect of automatically spacing units - even when quite busy, you never feel on top of anyone - especially in the further fields which we prefer. (Caravans have a sperate field with flat hard standings and hook up etc. )

The welcome is excellent, friendly and clear, then you are left to your own devices (with good guidance) to find your ideal spot. Everything is immaculately maintained - facilities, grass cutting, communal areas. The many bins are emptied daily. There is an excellent well stocked shop (and coffee /pastry counter), and other facilities like washing machines that we did not use. Overall - very well equipped, but you still feel you are out in the wilds.

The star attraction is the location - that keeps drawing us back. Direct access to coast path, stunning views and great sunsets.

I could go on, but you get the message. One of the best sites we ever visit.

Finally - excellent value for money. The cheapest per night of any of the 4 we stayed in during this break in North Devon, and almost half of what we paid for far inferior sites in West Wales earlier in the year).

Of course, we will be back.

For the past few years we have been coming back to North Morte camp site.

The facilities are excellent, with clean toilets and showers.

Even if it is busy there is plenty of space with the wide range of camping spots.

Staff are friendly, shop has what you need and even a park for children.

Beautiful walks straight from the site along with stunning views.

We stayed at the North Morte camping site in early July 23.

The location is fabulous, the site is beautifully maintained with the facilities spotlessly clean.

The views from the non electric hook up pitches is amazing…

Overall we will definitely be returning and can whole heartedly recommend the site…terrific.

Stayed here for two nights whilst doing the SW Coast Path.

Site has amazing views out to sea and to Lundy. Shop on site is great and sells warm croissants in the morning.

The shop in the village sold mostly gift type items so not as useful for day to day food and drink.

Lots of toilets and showers which were always clean.

Good access to coast path and other local footpaths.

Miss Fea's Bistro in the village is very good but you need to book.

Overall I'd definitely come back.

Great campsite, we have visited a number of times over the years and it's still our favourite.

Superb location, great views, good facilities, what more could you want.

Just be aware that it's a hilly site so don't expect level pitches

 Excellent.

Position, cleanliness, site condition, facilities, staff - all at the highest standard, made our short stay a pleasure.

The units are spaced with lots of room between them and the view from the site is impressive.

Friendly and efficient welcome at Reception and well stocked shop with cafe opposite.

Very spacious site, plenty of room to spread out, and magnificent sea views from everywhere, and the bonus of amazing sunsets while I was there.

The site is quite hilly in places, so bring your levelling blocks if you're in a van! There is also an absolutely brilliant and well thought out children's play area.

There is a very spacious toilet/shower building which was always kept very clean, and even being there in August it never got too crowded. The only request I'd make is to have more than one clothes hook in the showers, but even this is manageable.

And the site is in a superb position on the edge of Mortehoe village, which surely is one of the loveliest in all of Devon, and has two great pubs, fish and chips and other takeaways, and tea room opposite the church.

And all this perched on the hillside only a very short distance from Woolacombe; but the village is an oasis of peace and quiet compared to all the hustle and bustle of Woolacombe.

Great campsite, good facilities, including shop.

Lots of space and amazing views. Slightly slopey, but it is on a hill!

Definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Walking distance to Woolacombe.

Perfect pitch good space, great washing facilities which are kept very well and great staff.

We had super pizzas which kids loved and ice creams but would be good to have a few treats, milk etc.

Children’s area is shy of equipment, super location close to walks, beach, cycling.

Arrived at site, received a wonderful welcome greeting from Hannah and family, shown to pitch by Brian.

Very relaxing site, great amenities, amazing on site shop which unlike most site shops, where they charge you the earth, North Mortehoe should be commended for their fairness of what the charge and the selection is amazing too,

Beautiful sunsets and everything you could want right on your door step, once we parked we never used the van again until the day we left.

If your looking for the perfect place to call home for a few days, , then North Mortehoe is it,

Highly, highly recommend this site and will be going back soon.

Thank you to all 👍🏻😃

Just had a couple of nights here, the site is excellent for sea views in the camping area.

This visit was different to 2018 what with Covid-19, but the arrangements were very good, I felt that it was a safe site, and had no difficulty with facilities, they were cleaned regularly.

I will be back, this is my second visit and it won't be the last.

Very helpful staff.

This is one of my favourite campsites, I have been going there every year for over a decade!

It's a great campsite, with stunning views over the sea. We love to walk the coastal path to Woolacombe and have seen loads of wildlife including seals.

The facilities are good (it would really benefit from a family shower room or 2). I always take a potty for the kids as the toilet block is quite a long way to walk for little legs - however that is because we choose to camp far away though, plenty of pitches are closer!

Rockham beach is a steep walk (harder work coming up than down 😉) but its a brilliant beach that tends to be quieter than most others locally ( worth noting its a rockpooling, pebble finding beach rather than surfing!)

The campsite is immaculate and the staff very friendly and helpful. The touring field has spacious pitches and the camping fields have that wild feel to them just as they had in the 1950's when my family used to stay for holidays. I came out of a feeling of nostalgia and was not disappointed in fact it was an extremely happy experience.

The cliff walks have wonderful views and the village has a very spacious carpark (with enough space for campervans or motorhomes), a village shop and pub.

Just a great place to get away from it all.
