A lovely, friendly and quiet site. Clean toilets and showers and a useful camp shop.
There is a large overspill field and a very nice little walk you can take to see the chickens, pigs, goats and horses - perfect for a young family.
Camping alone I found it very welcoming with helpful staff.
With no car it was easy to walk from the site to Pevensey castle, across the fields to Pevensey Bay beach, and to join the 1066 trail from Westham.
There is also a convenient nearby bus-stop for buses to Eastbourne.
The hikers' rate is very reasonable.
I would certainly use this site again and recommend it to others.

Wonderful camp site. Facilities are spotless and the owner is absolutely lovely, welcoming and kind.
It’s close to Hastings and cambersands so we had done lovely days out.
We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back next year. Thanks, Lisa, Adam and Minnie xxx

Lovely campsite friendly staff who helped us when arrived last night.
The beach next door was a great place to take the dogs.
Rules are fair and should have helped our enjoyment.
But sadly two parties in motor homes arrived behind our pitch 24.
They are still talking loudly even though it’s stated no noise after 11pm complete silence on the brief.
Being key workers we value our breaks and chose the site for a peaceful break.

Fantastic location, 2 minutes from the beach. Beach is little used so lots of room.
About 10 to 15 minute walk to sovereign harbour, shops and restaurants. If you want to go straight there and not always want to do the scenic walk use Google maps on walk, you can cut through the houses.
Camp site is split in two, which is nice as it gives you a smaller site feel. Also is better keeping an eye on smaller children.
We would definitely stay again, nice clean friendly site.
Young grandparents lol and a 2 year old granddaughter.

Fantastic location next to the beach. Eastbourne marina which has some excellent eateries/ bars, is only a 20min walk.
Thoroughly recommend and will be returning.
Due to Covid-19, toilets/showers are understandably closed.

Our third visit. Lovely position.
Could or should of opened toilets and showers. Even if meant more cleaning like other campsites
Giving overall rating of 6 out of 10.
Only because toilets/showers were shut

Even though this site is just 10 miles away we felt like we were on a short break much further away.
It is within easy walking distance of both Pevensey and Eastbourne's marina.
Lovely welcome and friendly staff compliment the site.

Have stayed here many times and have booked to return again in 3 weeks.
Site is well presented with clean amenities although the toilets and showers were out of bounds due to Covid 19. Staff are very polite and helpful.
The beach is a five minute walk and Sovereign Harbour with its shops and eateries and Pevensey village are a 30 minute walk in opposite directions.
Takeaways are nearby and also deliver. Site has a small playground for the young ones.
This site has everything we need for a bit of rest and relaxation.

High price with not much on offer. We'd read some glowing reviews but to us there was nothing special about this site other than it is really close to the beach.
We visited other sites when lockdown ended and they all managed to put the extra effort in to provide and clean their toilets & showers. The ASDA down the road managed to provide regularly cleaned toilets as did every other place we went to while we were in Pevensey.
The council in Eastbourne did, as did the pubs, and the village public loo opposite Pevensey castle was the cleanest and best kept we've ever come across - so why not this site? I don't understand why people say "Understandably the facilities were closed"
The golf clubhouse next door provided toilets yet the site couldn't?. It seems they just didn't want to go to the effort of cleaning/sanitising the toilets/showers more often which in our book is simply not good service.
It was difficult to get availability so we gave this place a try and as we had to pay in advance we stayed for the pre-booked three days. Pevensey itself is a great place to visit.
Obviously we can't review the facilities as there weren't any other than water taps, a drive over grey waste drain plus the expected toilet waste dump.
The site wardens were friendly enough and booking in was relatively pain free but £32 a night for parking a two berth motorhome on a bit of grass without electricity or any toilet/shower facilities is not what we consider good value.
Can't comment on child friendliness as we are an older couple and there were no children around the area we were parked, however, the site advertises a play area. Whether it was in use or not due to covid we don't know.

We’ve just returned from 3 nights at Bay View. We had 2 tents (2 couples). It’s in a wonderful position. Great little shop and lovely staff that work there.
If we go again we’d ask for pitches closest to the entrance as we were at the back under the trees with nesting pigeons. Not the fault of the site at all - just our personal preference.
Toilet and showers were functional but could do with updating, and de-bugging on a daily basis.
However it didn’t bother us enough to cause any problems.

We are so happy with the amazingly kind staff of Bay View Park.
After the most horrible arrival in south east England, hottest day, stormy weather, ferry delay they allowed us (soaking wet from all the rain and with a broken tent) to stay and recover in the bungalow.
The friendliest reception ever! Thank you so much!
