 We stayed at the Burford CMC site for one night as a stopover on our way south. The site is standard CMC. Decent pitches, good facilities, friendly wardens and ridiculously overpriced.
Access is easy but the site is quite a way outside Burford and not really walkable as the road is busy and doesn’t have a footpath.
The site suited us well as all we wanted to do when we arrived was sit in the sun relaxing after a long drive and have a good pitch and decent facilities for the one night before we headed on our way south the next day.

Lovely quiet campsite when we visited in mid May. Well laid out making each area feel smaller and more intimate. Even though a busy road passes nearby, it wasn't obviously noisy.
The campsite itself as a little isolated if you wanted to walk anywhere. There was no public transport readily available. With the busy A road having no footpath, you had to walk the country lanes to get to the town.
The military planes overhead and the wildlife gardens across the road provided some interesting noises and sights.
For three nights of the week, there is a different food van visits the site. We saw a Jacket potato, Hog Roast and chips and a pizza van when we were there.

Another lovely break at this gem of a site, always a warm welcome from the friendly wardens Lisa and Chris and a very quick check in.
The site and facilities were spotless, good TV and WiFi signal. We stayed on a service pitch which was perfectly level.
Handy to be next door to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and you get a discount through the CMHC.
Lots to visit in the glorious Cotswolds including Bourton on the Water, Burford, Cirencester, Bibury, Lechlade on Thames, Classic Motor Hub at Ablington, Buscot Park NT.

Another glorious stay at this superb site next to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park, which is so close you can hear the lions roar.
Always a warm welcome, we stayed on a large flat fully serviced pitch, nice to see they have recently created a few more of these. Good TV and free WiFi signal and excellent toilet facilities.
Good play area for kids although we prefer to go when it's outside of the school holidays. Fish and Chips, Baked potato and Pizza vendors also visit the site.
Lots to see in the immediate area including Burford, Lechlade on Thames, Bibury, Bourton on the Water and not much further to Cirencester, Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh and so many glorious Cotswolds villages. Probably why we return year after year.

Great site, one of our favourites in the beautiful Cotswolds right next to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park and you can sometimes hear the lions.
The wardens here are fantastic, friendly and helpful.
It’s a great site for dogs but not really suited for road walking. The showers are great, a really powerful shower and they are warm and clean.
Only negative for some but not us is there is a little road noise
This is our third visit and we definitely will visit again

Loved this site. Good toilets.
Strange laying in bed and listening to the animal noises from the nearby Zoo. Lions roaring and monkeys having fun.
Lovely wardens on this site. Lots of pitches but didn’t feel busy.
Lots of passing travellers from different countries, all having a good time.

Great site, our new favourite in the Cotswolds, perfect position if not for motorhomes as a walk into town. Most friendly wardens met for a long time who keep the site immaculate.
Mature trees and great enclosed dog walk.
Only few negatives
Poor mobile and tv reception
Showers clean and very powerful and hot but small seat
Little bit of road noise at the front but not a lot.
We go to the Cotswolds every year as only hour and half from home and love the area, usually we go to Cirencester which we love but this is our new go to

Another lovely visit to this gem of a site. New wardens this time Lisa and Chris who have continued the high standards set by the previous wardens.
We were on the fully serviced pitches and close to the facilities block which were excellent.
Good TV signal although my only experience of the Free club Wi-Fi was poor so we used our hot spot on the phone rather than pay for the Premium Wi-Fi.
Took advantage of the club discount to visit the Cotswold Wildlife park.
Excellent fish and chips on the Friday night from the visiting van, they also have various vendors on other nights.
Good play area for children and a dog walk. Some slight noise from low flying aircraft from Brize Norton.

We love the Cotswolds, but this is the first time we've visited this site.
For some reason the layout seems a bit weird and we weren't the only ones driving around quite a few times trying to access some of the pitches.
After visiting a couple of nearby sites, we were surprised how long the grass was before being cut and the area outside the shower block didn't look clean as there was lots of moss around which got trodden in.
The last receptionists were extremely pleasant and helpful, but one warden was rather officious, though he did help us when we later had a problem.
We cycled some wonderful quiet, flat lanes around to Lechlade and back, though our next ride to Burford was rather frantic due to the storms and flooded roads around Burford itself, which was unpleasantly busy, even on a Sunday.
Sadly, it's a location we wouldn't revisit.

Stayed at the Burford site several times due to convenience and indeed this is a great site.
Always well kept, very clean toilet block, pleasant welcome, location, and large playground for the kids.
Wildlife park directly opposite and no more than 20 minutes drive from various towns and villages.
Head warden is well versed with CAMC rules and regulations, pointing these out on arrival to several neighbouring guests, all of which appreciating his guidance.
Re-cycling site was poorly labelled though. As a result, the glass only section had a bin lid which stated no glass, with other bins being general waste all guests simply placed bottles on the concrete in an effort to get it right, being a Saturday evening, there was a shed load all over the floor. These had to be picked up the following morning, which could have been avoided
I would stress these are observations not complaints and in general this remains a great site.
