Lovely convenient campsite with a riverside location. Staff were very friendly and informative.

It was fairly quiet. We were allocated a pitch. However the staff said park where you like within reason.

As mentioned by other people in their reviews the toilet/ shower block could do with some modernisation. But for me functional, with plenty of room and coat hooks to hang your stuff up off the floor.

The field was fairly level and the grass cut and cuttings picked up.

Price charger for non electric hook up very reasonable.

They also offered a discount card for the local pub.

Would stop again.

Family friendly site with a small park area but fantastic space for the children to play.

The location was beautiful, with the river just a sort walk away.

Incredibly helpful staff, we only intended to stay one night as it was our first time camping and didn’t know what to expect, but the children were having such a great time we requested to stay another night and Lin was happy to help.

Facilities were clean and easy to access.

“The Cob Father” on site was great, reasonably priced and good food.

Would definitely return.

 Lovely setting and friendly site.

Toilet and washing facilities very dated and could not ignore the very pungent smell coming from the septic tank that travelled across the whole site even with very little wind

My brother and I had a lovely weekend break at the Red lion campsite. The lady who received us at reception was very friendly and informative.

The fishing was sadly unproductive - but nonetheless, as the beauty of the surroundings more than made up for it.

We were really looking forward to having a couple of meals and drinks in the red lion pub which is literally next door, but unfortunately it was closed until the spring! We were absolutely gutted about this, apparently it's the first time the pub has ever closed over the autumn and winter.

Overall, we had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend this campsite.

On getting to the site the lady at reception was extremely welcoming and chatty she was lovely. And explained everything really well to me.

It's a really good idea to have the key code locks on the toilets.

Unfortunately the shower and toilets areas are in desperate need of cleaning and decorating.

They smell there was cobwebs everywhere.

The sinks have dirty grey scum around the taps and plug holes

There was a mop bucket full of dirty water and I mean dirty it was like mud with a filthy smelling mop that was the same colour left in the corner for you to mop your shower water up I assume.

The showers work but not very well in desperate need of being up dated on a positive the water was lovely and warm, And hand wash provided by the sinks

It's such a shame as this camp site is lovely and clean and well maintained otherwise.

And in a lovely location.

The shower/toilet block really let's it down.

I understand it will take money to update and paint them.

But there is absolutely no excuse for dirty washing facilities.

If a cleaner were employed it would make a world of difference.

And be up to standard for health and safety.

Atm I have serous doubts.

On a positive we love the campsite great location

General maintenance is good clean and friendly staff.

Please do something about the toilet blocks

It's a lovely spot, next to the Severn. The site was quiet with plenty of level ground to set up a tent. Take a mallet to drive the pegs in though, as there is a stony layer about 2 inches below the surface.

The pitches were well prices and with the pub at the entrance it was easy for an evening meal, also well priced good food. The pub can get busy though and you'll need to queue for a nice pint.

The toilets were basic but clean and the showers were large and hot. There was adequate washing up facilities and there were steel cages, where you could lock your washing up stuff if needed.

No problem with bikers and the staff were pretty friendly. We have decided to give the site 5 stars as far as camping goes and we will definitely be coming back to this little gem.

Lovely campsite setting, near a pub, toilet block dirty, smell of sewerage near the campsite entrance.

Management in denial, clearly not keeping facilities at any acceptable standard.

I wont return to this campsite

Booking was easy, I sent an email and had a prompt response.

The site is adjacent to the river Severn, with lovely walks along the river or up to the top of the hill and down through the village of Norton.

The site is lovely with well spaced pitches.

The toilet and shower block is dated but functional and clean.

The lady who greeted us ( Linda ) was very friendly.

We had a lovely time

We didn’t stay - the ground was too hard to put the tent pegs in.

There was also a smell of toilets across the campsite and surrounding area.

Owner returned money

Real shame as the location is stunning on a sunny evening

Didn't like it, left after 1 day, toilets and showers are awful, really needs coat of paint very outdated, and there was a sewage smell that was horrendous. Won't be going back

Campsite itself is lovely nicely spaced out.

A good campsite, we took a VW camper van & awning. Friendly & helpful wardens :)

Nice pitch with electrical hook up that worked perfectly. There was hot water to wash up.

The toilet & shower facilities are definitely overdue for a refurbishment, but did the job and especially as we only paid a small amount for our plot :)

The Red Lion pub next door was very friendly & welcoming, if somewhat overpriced.

All in all, a great inexpensive and friendly site in a beautiful spot next to the river.

Lynne was very helpful once she had found our booking.

Site was getting ready for the season.

Ladies toilets were clean if old fashioned.

The pub next door does lovely home cooked food with very helpful staff.

We thought the campsite was in such a lovely position. The views and space around was brilliant.

Pitch sizes were good and despite coming on a bank holiday, we were given choice and the flexibility to choose was perfect!

We positioned ourselves in front of the play park so we could keep an eye on our little ones at all time.

Friendly, kind management, and very helpful. Despite being quite a lot of tourers and tents when we visited, there was so much space and it was so quiet at night, we all fell to sleep really easy after some lovely stargazing.

We will come again!

Appon arrival we booked into site and was greeted.

Lady was really friendly.

Site is generally kept well but toilets and showers would benefit with updating but are clean and tidy.

Nice Pub just as you get into site which was busy and food looked good to what we saw.

Site was really good value for money and if we were in the area again we staying would consider returning

We had a lovely time here, we found the people we spoke to in the park very pleasant (owners) and helpful.

The field is well kept and nice and flat. All the EHU are around the outside of the filed so there is plenty of room for children to play and there is a small park on the field.

All the pitches are well mown and flat so easy to get sorted. There are showers and washing up sinks by the main building.

All in all we had a lovely break here and will definitely be going back
