 We have stayed at this site quite a few times, it's one of our favourites. On this occasion we were on a grass pitch on the cliff top. All the pitches are spacious and mostly flat though levellers may be needed in some places.
There are lots of showers and toilets in 3 blocks. Although this site doesn't have facilities such as a pool and club house it was nice to see families having good old fashioned fun together.
Lots of kids and Dads were playing football on the sports field in the evening, some little girls were blackberry picking and people and dogs walking on the cliff top fields.
There were some amazing sunsets when we were there and lots of people gathered on the large hill at the top of the site to watch the sun sink into the sea. A lovely friendly atmosphere
The site is located between East and West Runton with an excellent bus service from the gates to Cromer, Sheringham and all places along the coast as far as Wells next the Sea.
A few minutes walk down to East Runton where there are a traditional pub, 2 modern bars, a Fish and chips shop and a village shop. You can access the beach here for a short walk into the charming seaside resort of Cromer and it's lovely beach and pier.
As a change from the beach, Hillside Animal Sanctuary at West Runton is free to visit and is home to hundreds of rescued animals.

Lovely site and will use again.
Have used showers (excellent).
Not used any food vans as the one time we would have used them they did not show. But the staff messaged everyone on site and let us know they would not be there.
Noise from road can be a bit obtrusive but very quiet through the night.
Overall a very nice place to stay with good pubs all around.

I have to say my stay at Woodhill was a bit indifferent.
The staff friendly & the facilities were very good and clean, I had no issues.
It's aptly placed on the north Norfolk coast, easy to get to Sheringham & Cromer, the bus stop is right outside the front entrance, which is very handy. The bus can take you to Wells on sea and Norwich directly.
The negatives were other campers, which were there.
In my opinion just too many dogs on site for my liking. I don't mind dogs if they are quiet, but when there are a few, one starts barking & that sets off another and the chain reaction of barking occurs. I shouldn't feel intimidated by a barking dogs every time I walk past a plot, in order to get to the toilet block.
Additionally, a strong smell of weed coming from one of the plots, (I suspected which one it was), which smell drifted everywhere. I didn't report this, as I thought they might depart, but also I was nearing the end of my stay.
The latter negative points, started occurring towards the weekends, rather than in the week.
I departed sooner, than my actual departure date, as my experience was quite mixed, it’s unlikely if I’ll be back again.

Being greeted by friendly receptionists always makes us feel good.
Nice clean site. The heated toilet block was lovely as was the covered dishwashing facilities which have deep sinks and plenty of hot water.
Woodhill is a delightful clifftop campsite with a bus stop at the gate. Buses are frequent and go to Cromer, Sherringham and Wells.
Unfortunately we were struggling when Storm Benjamin hit and we left a day early.
We will return next year for a longer trip hopefully in nicer weather.

Wow, they've nailed it on the head here. Pretty much everything spot on.
Brilliant location, great bus services, beatutiful area. Cromer, Sheringham and East & West Runton. All worth a visit.
Arrived at reception to a warm greeting and everything explained thoroughly regarding site. Had booked a fully serviced pitch and this was in a cracking location near main toilet block & reception.
Really, really nice toilet facilities. Big old site and very busy but didn't really have to queue much. Liked site a lot so extended stay by a couple of nights.
Had to move pitch, not too far but then found ourselves slightly closer to another toilet block, again top notch. Saw staff in cleaning both toilet facilities at least once a day so no complaints there and a great job done.
Different food vans in at night which was good and saw a breakfast van in some mornings. Few points which I must raise. Yes it was during school holidays and lots of kids, but few occassions we had to chase them from riding bikes right over our pitch and practically sitting right outside our door. Racing up and down road is also a disaster waiting to happen with so many vehicles moving about.
We did have to pick up litter round both our pitches left by previous occupiers or possibly blown on from elsewhere but apart from those two gripes it was a fantastic stay on a very lovely site.

First time here, and will return. Had XL pitch with electric. Like most pitches, on a fair slope - our levelling system couldn't get us level!
Shop had the basics, including a few Guardians as well as Daily Mails, unusually.
We used the "BBQ" facilities which were excellent. Little cabins, with loo, shower and basin. Village 10 minutes walk with proper pub - the Fishing Boat - with good beer at cheapest price you'll find in the coast.
Superb bus service from site entrance. Buses to Wells, and all stops in be tween and to Norwich (Just over an hour away) meant that at peak times there are four buses an hour going to Sheringham and Cromer.

We hosted a vintage motorcycle rally at this wonderful campsite.
Lots of personal space between tents and marvellously clean and well appointed facilities. There are even family bathrooms with shower toilet and bath.
The site has a good shop and the staff were very friendly- if a bit confused at times.
It is within easy walking distance of two equidistant paths down to the beach and close to two pubs offering food and well stocked bars, also very hospitable.
We would all be happy to go back there again.

We are both elderly and no longer tour far from home.
This lovely site is ideal for us as we live near Norwich.
Very clean facilities, well stocked shop, friendly staff.
Spacious pitches. Choice of EHU if required. No charge for awnings. Also big play area for children.
Pub just a short stroll away. Bus stop near entrance.
Cromer or Sheringham not far away.
Would recommend this great site.

The site was spotlessly clean with the toilet and shower blocks being the cleanest we have seen.
All the staff from the manager through the reception/shop staff to the cleaners and ground staff all were extremely friendly and helpful.
We will almost certainly be returning.

Nice clean and well situated camping area.
Friendly staff, clean showers, toilets and plenty of service points.
Some slight road noise, but can't be helped.
Would stay again no problem. But maybe in a campervan or caravan. My back and knees won't take camping any more.

Good location, handy for bus. Nice walks along cliffs to beach. Close to pubs and shops. Good dog walk, don't have kids but playground looked good.
Food truck every night was handy. The main faculty block was great the others where fine but got busy.
Nice wardens.
Site was noisy at weekend music not coming from site so nothing you could do but this might bother someone.
Overall good site would return.

One of the few campsites we could visit as a group of 4 20-year-olds (a deposit was required).
The campsite itself was clean, in a brilliant location within 5 minute walk to east runton, and a five minute drive to either Sheringham or Cromer.
The staff were really friendly and we're very helpful.
Shop on site and 5 minute drive to Lidl or Morrisons.
WiFi throughout, although was rather patchy, and mobile data was really weak.
Toilets and showers were always clean, as were washing up stations.

We have stayed here numerous times now, and I have to say, it is one of, if not, our favourite campsite.
The staff are incredibly friendly, the site is ALWAYS immaculate, and the toilet/shower blocks are beautifully clean.
The price is very good, excellent value for money. The pop up food stands that they have are a fantastic addition.
We WILL be returning very soon!

Stayed at woodhill for 3 nights, in a tent 3 adults 2 children,
We chose an EHU next to the road, as it appears that the pitches next to the road are 4-5 feet wider than everywhere else (been there several times now)and to be honest the road noise didn't bother us,
The amenities were totally spotless, all the staff we spoke to were very polite and had good knowledge of the surrounding area.
The pop up food vans were very good and reasonably priced. Good play area for children and a playing field the size of 5 football pitches
We did the usual Cromer and Sheringham site seeing and amazon zoo, amazing site very good shop on site, have already booked again in a couple of months, on their web site they sometimes do a 3 night for the price of 2.
