Marvellous site which is spacious, quiet and well maintained.

Deep into the forest the phone and internet connections are poor but we really enjoyed not having these distractions

No support staff on site despite arriving 4pm Sat. They called to advise and we were told to park on right immediately after gate (on loudspeaker so we all heard). I even repeated it back. Turned out he meant left. So we ended up parking in wrong place and later that night told to re site which was frustrating. He let us stay when we said we’d leave the next day instead of staying for the 2nd night. No refund or apology.

It was 2°C when we were there yet all the bathrooms were unheated with all the windows wide open. Pretty horrible experience.

This is a lovely quiet site with dark nights ideal for stargazing. There are miles of cycle tracks and walks.

Clean hot showers and spacious pitches. Internet connection is not good in pitches close to campsite boundary clearing & in the forest itself.

The forest is beautiful but has hidden dangers. **There are notices in the shower & toilet blocks that need to be taken extremely seriously**

Our cocker spaniel was one of two dogs that were hospitalised during our early October stay with vomiting & dehydration after contracting a harvest mite infestation. Her symptoms came on suddenly. She was so sick, dehydrated and in distress with stomach pain necessitating a stay in local animal hospital on an intravenous drip, antibiotics & anti-sickness medication. Thank goodness we were insured. £1200+. MiNightVet were brilliant but we had a very anxious 48hrs.

What a gem of a site, pitches good size and clean.

Toilets / shower spotlessly clean.

Staff very friendly and very helpful

Perfect site for walking, chilling or just star gazing.

Highly recommend this site definitely will be staying again.

We have stayed here quite a few times in the past and always liked it so decided to come back now it has been reopened by different owners.

The play area has now gone but it wasn't much of a play area anyway so didn't bother my children as they made their own fun in the forest building dens and playing on rope swings etc

Unfortunately the showers were very cold which was a massive disappointment and for me let the experience down. It rained quite a lot on one of the days which meant we were cold and muddy and was looking forward to a warm shower at the end of the day.

We also couldn't wash our utensils properly after each meal as the water was also coming through cold at the sinks.

The main toilet block is no longer used as it was condemned, this mean that there are now only 3 toilets (in each male and female block) which seemed a small amount for the size of the camp-site, however I never had to queue for the toilet.

There are also only 3 outdoor sinks for your washing up.

This hasn't put us of staying again in the future as we love the location and hope it's just "teething problems" with it being new owners.

Hopefully they will sort the hot water problem and get more toilets in the future.

Love Rendlesham, beautiful camp site, fantastic trails and walks, well mapped.

Staff were great, friendly, knowledgeable.

Toilets & showers well looked after and clean.

Would love to see an on site shop for basic food & hygiene supplies.

So glad this site is open again. Lovely helpful owner. Basic facilities but long hot showers!

Plenty of space and electric sockets. Ground is very sandy and bumpy from rabbit activity. May need blocks. It was sadly neglected for a few years and will take time to recommission. Some shady areas on the south side.

Nice and quiet midweek. Is virtually up to capacity on bank holidays weekends🫣

Arrived on site with a warm greeting from the wardens Ash and Sue, was directed to our pitch, was informed where all the facilities were. Also welcomed by Hannah the Manager.

We have visited this site on many previous occasions over a period of thirty years under the previous management, albeit work is still in progress which didn't spoil or affect our stay.

A very well managed campsite and are booked to return at the end of May for a four night stay.

This site has been in the forest and neglected for many years. Campers and caravanners need to support this site to enable investment, otherwise this may be lost in the future. It is what it is.

A camping site in the middle of the forest. A very natural setting with basic amenities. Shower block is basic but clean. Buttons on the outside of the shower cubicle operate the water. The temperature is fixed but there seems plenty of time to have a shower. One disabled shower/toilet accessed with radar key.

External washing up sinks not under cover. No laundry or ironing facilities. No shop - yet.

The site can get messy under foot in bad weather, especially around water and elsan points. A few hard standing and good shade around the edge of the site.

The new owners have taken on a mammoth task but they will need your support and understanding to develop it further.

The staff are very helpful and friendly.
