 Spotlessly clean. All facilities available.
Great walking trail starts and finishes at the site.
Perfect for adults and children.
Only a short drive to Kendal town.

Lovely site. On a working farm. Very clean.
Good hosts. Excellent shop with good range of goods. Just off the M6.
Good toilet and shower block.
Highly recommend.

This is a brilliant little site on a working farm. It is immaculately kept. Pitches are fully serviced at no extra cost with grass at the side to sit out. Judith, the owner came down to see if we knew where everything was and check we had received the toilet block code.
The site has grass pitches for tents, hardstandings for caravans and campervans. There is a kitchen area with dishwashing facilities and kettle, fridge and freezer available for campers.
The toilet(2) and shower(3) block is kept spotlessly clean.
Wi-Fi signal no problem and free.
There is a farm shop and cafe on site
Sizergh castle(NT) is about a 15 min walk away as is the Strickland Arms.
There's a 2. 5ml trail around the farm. There are other walks in the area from the site and Sizergh castle
With the A590 next to the site access to the lakes and Dales is very easy. We weren't always concious of the road noise it blended into the background after a while. We happily sat and read our books outside the caravan, enjoyed a drink and food and the opportunity to relax.
The site is suitable for a longer stay. As stated above lots to do in the area. Would also be brilliant for a shorter stay when travelling North or South due to it's proximity to M6.
This great little site is not far from us so will definitely return.

A little site in a great location.
Benefits of this campsite:
• Excellent Farm shop and café.
• Friendly staff.
• Free Wi-fi – very good.
• Every caravan pitch is fully serviced.
• Short walk to the local pub, Strickland Arms. We enjoyed a lovely meal and the staff are very friendly.
• Location – plenty of lovely walks around the area, including a short walk around the farm. Some road noise but this didn’t bother us, everything else regarding the location outweighed this.
• Short walk to Sizergh castle. Other attractions are a short drive away.
• Short drive into Kendal
Negatives
• The only negative and for us, a big one, the unisex toilet block.
It is too small with no windows. It is fitted with extractor fans, but these are not doing a great job on the smell and the mirrors over the 2 sinks get covered in condensation when the showers are in use.
The 3 showers are big but there is no seat and nowhere to stand out of the wet when you are getting dry.
The showers are described as fully enclosed, but they are not. There is a gap at the bottom and the top, same with the 2 toilets.
The facilities were clean throughout our stay.
I wouldn’t say we would not use this site again, it has a lot to offer, next time we will be using our caravan facilities.

If you want to completely chill this is the place to be. Not a big site but lovely. Well kept pitches.
Toilet shower and wash up ample. And the farm shop and cafe is brill.
Watching the cows getting milked will be soo cute for littlies and there is a lovely walk around the farm - bit hilly for dodgy walkers.
Local public transport is good for getting out and about.
All in all we will definitely go back there.

A pleasant small site, attached to a farm, with open views. We had a large, fully serviced pitch with plenty of room to manoeuvre.
There is a toilet (2) and shower (3) block which was clean, with plenty of hot water and the showers were good.
There is also a small drying room in the amenities block.
The free Wi-Fi was excellent.
There is a farm shop and cafe on site which was useful. Sizergh castle, a National Trust property and Sizergh Arms which does food are a short walk away. Kendal, a 10 minute drive away has an array of shops.
We enjoyed our stay here, the only slight downside is that the dual carriageway next to the farm is very busy.

The campsite was small, but nicely laid out.
Facilities were excellent, clean shower and toilet block, and ample for the small site.
The staff we met were friendly and polite.
There's a shop and cafe conveniently situated on the farm, we had a snack here and it was quite tasty.
There's a pub 5 minutes walk away, but we only had 2 nights here and didn't try it.
Kendal is approx 10 minutes drive away, with lots of shops and takeaways.
Only downsides would be the traffic noise, not awful but noticeable, and having to use a code for the toilet block (I'm guessing to keep cafe customers out, but maybe could be locked open in the evening?).
We enjoyed our short stay.

This is a wonderful, compact site, on a working farm. The hosts were extremely welcoming, friendly and always available.
The site has a kitchen area with kettle, fridge and freezer available for campers and the other side of the block is the toilet, shower and washing area all of which is in immaculate condition and very clean.
In the kitchen is a folder with maps and directions for local walks.
There is a café and extensive farm shop and campers can look into the barn and watch the cows being milked.
The only downside was the noise from the nearby A591 but even that seemed to blend into the background after a while.
I'll definitely be returning.

Very helpful and accommodating to fit us in for 5 nights with out having to move pitches
Site very clean and toilet/shower block always clean.
Unisex toilet block no problem, no different to some swimming pools.
Good farm walk for all ages,
Have recommended to friends
Well situated for visiting Sizegh castle, took 15mins walk with underpass of busy road.
Also only a few miles to Leven Hall and Gardens

A small, peaceful site with lovely views over the hills and the added bonus of the farm’s cows strolling in front of the windows after milking.
Everything necessary including really hot washing up water and excellent showers.
However, I do share with other campers a dislike of unisex facilities which results in both sexes furtively trying to avoid one another. Wonderful cafe and shop.
In walking distance from the interesting and unusual Sizergh castle with its much admired grounds.
I wasn’t always conscious of the nearby road noise.
