A well run friendly site with very helpful staff.
6 enjoyable nights in a quiet relaxing atmosphere in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Mill pub which is on site was also well run with good food at very reasonable price.
The owners have a well run setup at a very reasonable price.

What a wonderful site couldn't find a fault at all. Very clean showers, hot water and powerful, one of the best I've used.
The site itself is kept in a immaculate condition with the wardens tending the grass and pitches everyday. The pitch and putt was tended over 3 days and by the time the warden had finished it was immaculate and a joy to have a knock on.
The Mill pub is a joy to have meal and a drink in ( if you do go in for a drink ask for the loyalty card at the bar as once it's full you get a free drink, nobody told me about it until the last night 😡) If I had one gripe would be that it does need a dedicated dark area as so you can sit and look at the stars in the clear Herefordshire sky.
We will return definitely.

Fantastic spotless site, relatively peaceful (only minor road noise during the day) with a lovely walk along the river. Had a lovely meal at the Mill Pub.
Caught the bus to Hereford which on a saturday runs every 2 hours. Cost £2. 50 each way and took about 40 minutes. The same bus Sargeants X44 also runs to Hay-On-Wye.
The pub in Peterchurch is around a 30 minute walk along the road although there is no footpath or verges so we didn't attempt this in the dark.
Would be a great dark skies location if the lights on site were not as bright, perhaps they could be turned off after 11. 30?

Given a friendly welcome on arrival and departure.
Standard pitch level.
Grounds and surrounding areas well maintained and of high standard.
A spotlessly clean toilet/shower block
(though a note to consider and that is where the hand air driers are the water from wet hands is already staining the grouting and behind the radiator in the ladies block). Just wouldn’t want to see this deteriorate any more in this beautiful toilet/shower area. Maybe needs a Perspex sheet to cover the tiles up on one of them which you could easily wipe down but the other one over the radiator I don’t know what to suggest.
Visited in December and was truly peaceful and lovely with using the local bus into a Hereford which you catch just outside the site.
The village Hay on Wye the other way about 9 miles is beautiful but the bus timetables to get back is not good so we took the van. The village has a huge car park so no problem parking.
I don’t know what the site would be like in terms of peace and quiet in the summer months as it is not adult only but what I can say for now and that is a beautiful park that we would visit again.
This park sets the standard in which all parks should take note of.

Hard to fault anything about this site. Staff are amazing, facilities always immaculate and the upkeep of the site is always ongoing to achieve a wonderful environment.
The on site Mill pub is always welcoming and serves great food, beers and cocktails.
The huge dog walking area is the best I have seen anywhere.
Even got good facilities for kids and a 9 hole pitch and putt course.

Having stayed at all the other Morris Leisure sites our expectations were set pretty high.
The customer service pre and post booking is top notch and even though there was considerable roadworks on the approach a reassuring phone call from the site advising how to navigate said roadworks was most welcome.
Checking in was simple. Pitch of a good size and flat with ehu, waterpoint and TV point.
The site itself is extremely well maintained and cared for.
The shower/toilet block spotless at all times.
The wardens are very friendly and helpful.
The pub on site was also very good with the food being of a good quality and reasonably priced.
All in all a great place to base yourself to explore the Wye Valley.

Directions to site were great and entrance was well signposted.
On arrival receptionist was super friendly with a warm welcome. Informed us of the site layout, walks and the mill pub/restaurant. Advised us to book as busy this evening.
The site is spotless and green areas very well kept. Great having a dog field to let loose our little dog after a long journey.
There was road noise mainly from working farmers who were working tirelessly to bring in the harvest, providing us with potatoes for the winter. So can’t complain just be aware of the late night/early morning rumbling tractor noise.
We choose this site for the inside pub, however be aware that it seems that out of season the pub closes early.
We ventured up at 7pm to spend the evening there, and were turned away as they were closing.
Really disappointed as was not told of this and the pub looks so pretty all lit up at night. Had a sulky walk back to van.
Nowhere else to walk to (only 1 bus that picks up from road at 11am ish and returns at 6pm ish) so had to make do with a takeaway apple crumble and cider from the local Gwatkins farm.
Would definitely recommend Gwatkins Farm to eat and buy your cider made on their farm. Had a wonderful lunch, Sunday roast dinner all home cooked and fresh veggies. Wonderful
Would I return again to poston mill?…. Possibly but would be more aware that public transport out is minimal, so ensure your well stocked to self contain on site out of season. Reduced 1 star due to early pub closing

Entrance well sign posted to the camp site. Staff very welcoming on arrival, security gate in & out, gives peace of mind.
The whole place is immaculately kept. We booked super pitches & was of good size.
The showers best I've had at a camp site, immaculate, power hot shower & free!
There was a family shower & pot wash with a fridge freezer.
There is a variety of amenities on site, a very good play park, pitch/putting, badminton net & tennis net on the grass.
Plenty of country walks from the site & a good dog walk.
10 miles easy drive into Hereford City, bus route near entrance. We did the City walk with a guide ( £7. 50, well worth it) we found the leaflet on site in a little hut.
On site thes a restaurant open in the evenings, didn't visit it, but told food was really good.
Only down side is the road noise, very busy early morning & throughout the day, you do get used to it, but if looking for traffic free noise, maybe this place not for you.
On arrival, given details of site rules, but not told about parking or clipping the grass with tyres! There is a £25 penalty if you do, could be a nasty surprise to have to cough up on your stay!
Would I visit again, indeed I would.

Poston Mill is a very clean and well keep site and the wardens go out of their way to help to make your holiday go well.
Our motorhome sprang a leak and the warden helped us to fix it enough to carry on with our holiday which is above and beyond in my opinion.

Poston Mill has to be one of the best (if not the best) caravan park we have visited over many years. The grounds are superb, the acres of dog walk is exceptional on and off lead areas including a nine hole golf course (pitch and put doesn't do this justice).
Natural landscape, mature trees, river side walk to Peterchurch approx 40 minutes. We booked a serviced pitch which was exactly what it said on the tin (unlike other sites which share a supply bollard which cant be reached by one of the pitches without extending water feed and drainage).
For those with children, the playground includes tennis net table tennis climbing and acres of space to run all the energy off. Indoor games room in the pub (on site)
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing too much trouble and a great evening meal at the Mill. Weather was kind but this is a site which almost any weather would bring out the natural beauty. Facilities were spotless and, like the grounds, a credit to the team who manage the site.
This was our first visit and definitely not our last - would recommend a visit to all who read this review. In brief, -- This is a cracking caravan park.

An excellent campsite with truly 5* facilities.
The whole site is immaculate, the facilities are kept pristinely clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
We had 2 good meals at The Mill, the pub on site, and we enjoyed playing Pitch and Putt and walking along the riverside.
I had been a bit worried about what the access would be like for a big caravan on the B Road from Ross on Wye, but it was absolutely fine.
It’s a great location for visiting Hereford, Hay on Wye and Abergavenny and, for golfers, the Herefordshire and Kington are great courses to visit.

Beautiful site, wonderful location and excellent facilities. Friendly helpful staff and easy check in.
Site serviced by buses to Hay on Wye and Hereford. Footpaths directly from site and excellent cycling.
Black mountains in close proximity.
We enjoyed walking cycling and just relaxing listening to the gentle river Dore which runs by the site and the beautiful sound of the birds.
We also played pitch and putt on site and there is also provision to play tennis, badminton and table tennis.
Good dog walk area and lovely river walk. Every box ticked.
Will return
