A delightful site very close to Chester via park and ride or a walk alongside the canal
Toilets and shower spotless, the whole site is a credit to Sally and her team.
We had a medical situation while we were there and we cannot thank them enough for the help that Sally and Kevin gave us and keeping us up to speed on our caravan being removed on a low loader to head for home!
Can thoroughly recommend Netherwood for longer stays, not just a couple of nights

This is an excellent site we stayed here to visit Chester and go to the Races,
It is great, it’s a nice flat 50 minute walk by the canal into Chester centre also on bus route which cost £2.20 or an uber was £8.99.
Plenty of pubs nearby, the nearest is the Cheshire Cat about 10 minutes walk and we enjoyed a very nice Sunday Lunch.
We will definitely return to Netherwood site. Also very clean showers and toilets.

Lovely little site backing onto the Shropshire union Canal where you can watch the narrow boats sailing past.
Very organised on arrival with your pitch already allocated and Kevin the warden on hand to help if needed.
Toilets/showers basic but adequate and clean.
Cheshire Cat pub a 10 minute walk down the towpath is dog friendly has a large beer garden and serves food.
All in all a very pleasant 3 nights and we will return 😊

Beautiful spotless site. One shower and 2 toilets. Washing up area. A lot of work has been done to this site I believe. A few hardstanding pitches have been added and the removal of some trees to let more light in.
Big pitches with plenty of space. Lovely walk along the canal from site. A few restaurants within walking distance. Park and Ride at end of the road.
Sally the owner is lovely. Told us how to get to the village under the bridge where there are nice cafe and restaurant.
Kevin the warden is lovely. Very helpful and informative and likes a good laugh.
Looking forward to our next visit. Couldn’t fault anything. Excellent site

It was a return visit to this lovely site, and what a wonderfully warm welcome from the delightful warden, Kevin.
The ongoing improvements are great, and we look forward to seeing them continue in the years ahead.
We visited both pubs nearby, the delightful Ring O' Bells in Christleton, and the wonderful Cheshire Cat just further along the towpath from the site; highly recommend each one.
We enjoyed a leisurely walk along the towpath into Chester (50 min), but decided to catch the bus back to Christleton.
We will be booking a return visit to Netherwood again next year.

What a delightful site so close to Chester and right beside a canal. We only stayed for 1 night but will definitely be back in the future for longer.
From the welcome on arrival we knew all would be well. The welcome leaflet was extremely useful, as was the use of QR codes for information.
The pitches are spacious and, after a very stormy night, were clearly well-drained.
The site has private access to the canal towpath and we used this to cycle with our two grandchildren into Chester. (Lots of locks to keep them interested. )
Much to the latter’s delight there was play equipment, including balls, and a goal for them to use, facilities lacking on so many sites. The sanitation area was small but very clean.
The site manager told us the new owners have plans to make further improvements and enhancements.
On this occasion we did not have time to visit any of the local recommended eating places.
We will be back!

Lovely campsite with generous pitch size.
Having downsized to accommodate less pitches was a great idea by Netherwood as no-one had to queue for the limited facilities.
The warden, Kevin, kindly suggested we caught a taxi to Chester Zoo which was a godsend and not something we would have considered.
Close to the canal and within easy walking distance of a couple of pubs.
Whilst we had our teenager with us, there was a large space for younger children.

We had a lovely few days staying at Netherwood. The site warden was welcoming and informative.
The site itself is well laid out, and the hard standing pitches sized to take a motorhome or caravan with an awning on the grass area.
The toilet block is clean and in good order, if a little chilly for the time of year.
The site is situated next to the Shropshire union canal and it was lovely to watch from our pitch the barges going past; we walked into Chester along the towpath; approx 50 min, on the return journey stopped off at the nearby Cheshire Cat pub; lovely establishment, good food and beer.
I would highly recommend a stay at Netherwood, and look forward to our next visit.

Good location by canal, bit short on unheated facilities, traffic noise at night.
Take a torch cos there are no lights at all around the site.
All booked on line never saw anyone on site, understand why they do that but its very impersonal.

Quiet site, never saw the owners as you collect your pitch number from the window edge on the way in.
Easy to cycle down the canal tow path into Chester.
