Great location for walking out into the Peak Dales with good proximity between Buxton & Bakewell.

Good sized Hard stand pitches although the gravel used is quite coarse and sharp and a very course substrate that makes it very difficult to get even proper rock pegs in and gripping.

Be careful of the signposted turn-in off the main road coming from Buxton. It is quite acute and is a single track lane making it tricky if there is opposing vehicles emerging.

The toilets and shower blocks were presented and maintained to a good standard, there is a friendly check-in welcome at the Reception/shop

And if the café is open on one your visit days then that is also very good.

Beech croft farm is a lovely site.

Very clean and is a lovely place to stay. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Enjoyed visiting Bakewell, Buxton and castleton, site is not far from these places by car.

Plenty of pubs close by for a meal and drinks.

We enjoyed our stay with them.

Such a lovely campsite in a great location.

Facilities were modern and spotless, the coffee shop was brilliant and pizzas were yummy.

We were an awkward booking as we kept changing and adding dates and the owners were so patient and accommodating.

Can’t fault our stay at all, hopefully we’ll be back and will definitely be recommending to others!

Had a wonderful stay here during the heat wave this summer. The location is lovely, feeling in the middle of nowhere but being just off the main road between Buxton and Bakewell. I like that the site is separated into smaller fields, all surrounded by hedges.

The facilities are excellent with clean showers and plenty of toilets. Although not necessary for me, I thought the addition of a unisex block of facilities must be a good addition for families.

It’s not a reserved pitch site, but I found a nice pitch, ever so slightly sloped which is to be expected in the Peaks. I used EHU for the first time ever, given you only pay for what you use at this site. How sensible. £5 deposit for a card. As I only used it to charge my phone and portable charger, it only cost 5p!

The shop has basic supplies, ice creams and drinks fridge (welcomed in the heat!) and the staff were welcoming and informative. I didn’t use the cafe as it’s mainly open at weekends but the menu looked good.

As seen on their website, I hired a bike from Blackwell Bikes for the Monsal Trail which was a great day out. I chose the site as I wanted to visit caves & stately homes in the area, but it was also a a lovely site to chill.

It’s obviously a family friendly site with play areas and plenty of space for children to play, and it’s also quiet at nights with a no noise policy.

Oh, and there’s goats! I’d definitely stay again.

Beech Croft is an excellent site for visiting with young children. We were a group with kids ranging 11months to 4years and the facilities were great - huge shoutout for the on-site pizza made to order on a Saturday night in particular!

The children loved the smaller playground, a great size for under 6's and near to the toilet block. The adults all appreciated very clean and warm toilet and washing facilities, shop, coffee shop(!) and friendly staff.

Pitches are amongst the flatter ones in the Peak District and hook ups are pay as you go but with a tent and minimal electricity used, we were able to refund most of the £5 minimum we paid. Dog friendly, keeping them on a short lead and there is a dog exercise space.

Overall a great site and we will visit again!

We love the rural setting of Beech Croft with lovely views around.

The site is well laid out with good spotlessly clean facilities.

Been twice this year! There are some great pubs near by for eating out or just to enjoy a drink.

Church Inn is our favourite with a lovely garden and great food.

The site had fantastic hardstanding pitches all with their own water tap and electric huck up point.

The pitches were considerably larger than your standard one and virtually level. Apart from this the site had many toilet waste emptying points about the site and a grey water drain for vans.

The toilets were immaculate and clean with a choice of male, female and larger family cubicles.

There was even a dog and boot clean area.

The reception area had plently of local literature and some essentials if required.

For campers there was even a microwave and drinks machine.

Ideal site for walkers with a circular walk through Chee Dale available from the campsite. Although the path can be difficult when wet - Chee Dale is in my mind one of the best gorge walks anywhere.

Mostly hard standing, it looks level but you’ll need levellers.

Quiet apart from the odd motorbike exhaust noise.

Very clean toilet and wash block, didn’t have to wait during our stay to shower.

Very friendly check in staff.

This was our first visit to Beech Croft Farm and we booked on the basis of the great reviews on this website. We certainly were not disappointed. We liked choosing our own pitch where there was plenty of space around us. The grass was short and in good condition.

The facilities were excellent, the cleanest we have ever come across. There were plenty of toilets and despite a busy weekend we never had to queue for showers, owing to more showers in a unisex section - great for families too. The washing up area had a freezer for ice packs, iron, washer and drier as well as 4 clean sinks all in an immaculate room.

The whole site was spotless, with no litter anywhere. Bin areas were clean and emptied regularly, with recycling bins too. Two play areas for the children entertained children we saw and were in great condition and the 3 goats that campers have to pass to get to the loos were entertaining as they munched their grass all day!

All the staff were welcoming, helpful and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Nothing was too much trouble. Daisies Cafe was brilliant - thanks John - we had a cooked breakfast for our lunch a few times, as well as sandwiches and drinks. We couldn't make it for the pizza night, but it seemed very popular. It was great value and the quotes on the wall summed up what we think camping is all about. The small shop at reception was handy when we ran out of bread and seemed well stocked.

The pay as you go electricity meters meant that to charge our phones and toothbrushes, it cost 20p for the stay. This was a brilliant way to charge for those who only need a basic supply.

Walks from the site are brilliant, as are the views. The buses stop nearby and it is easy to explore the area without having to use the car.

This was one of the best sites we have been to and we can't wait to return.

Superb site, lovely people, and a great setting.

Can't fault this site at all.

The pitches are huge, with everything that you need.

Fantastic views from your pitch and stunning walks from the campsite.

Good little shop, amazing shower blocks and fire pits for hire too.

Nothing is too much trouble for the owners.

Lovely site, great location for many walks with details in the welcome leaflet and more walks to buy in the little shop.

Friendly welcome at reception and from other staff.

Fantastic facilities with heated floors; lots of small details thought of including dog and boot wash, hooks for dogs outside toilet block, hand sanitiser in chemical waste area.

Lovely views from the terraced pitches.

We will definitely return.

Lovely site with a very warm welcome. I couldn't fault it.

Coffee shop opens at busy ends of the week that I missed sadly but I'll visit again and definitely have breakfast there.

The site was very clean, even with few people on it midweek, and an ideal place to explore the peak district.

Very good campsite, close to many places of interest.

Friendly, well laid out and spotlessly clean.

The facilities are worthy of the Ritz !

Would use again and can recommend highly.
