Lovely peaceful site. Fab facilities. Spotlessly clean.
We took the long walk to the pub.
The trick is to walk off the site and turn right at the Give Way which is the second turning off the site

Booked very last minute, spent 5 nights here chilling and relaxing. It's an ideal base for exploring the area.
The toilets, showers and the disabled toilet / baby changing were clean.
The kids staying on site seemed to be enjoying themselves running around and playing together (there is no kids playground).
The local chip shop Matlock Green Fish Bar deliver and their fish and kebabs were lovely.
Would come back again. Shame they don't have a small shop on site selling the basics.

Lovely well kept site with great facilities and very welcoming owners. The pitches are generally flat and well maintained with choice of open areas or with mature tree cover.
I’ve stayed in many campsites in UK, Europe and USA and the toilet, shower and wash facilities here are amongst the best kept I’ve experienced.
I wanted a quiet rural location but with reasonable access to a town ( Matlock in this case) and with local walks or cycle routes and this site fitted the bill.
The site owners were there when I last stayed 6 or 8 years ago and really know their business but offer a nice informal welcome to visitors.
The site has lots of little detail touches such as discrete lighting, easy to use rubbish disposal with info on how recycling works locally, stacks of bricks to keep barbecues off the ground dotted about the grounds.

What a lovely campsite- loads of space and set in beautiful countryside with nice local walks.
Feeling super relaxed after 3 days here with extended family.
The showers and toilet blocks were immaculate.
We walked to the nearby waterfall, visited Matlock Bath and kayaked at Darley Dale.
Will definitely return- loads more to explore!

Friendly family who own / run it.
Nice basic site close enough to everywhere without being in the busiest parts near Matlock and Matlock bath all the time.
Fair prices and good enough facilities, shower is free, toilet and shower kept as clean as possible with people walking in and out from a field.
Allows use of fire pit of an evening and BBQs if kept under control.

Really love this site, second time this year.
It's clean, very tidy, peaceful. Love the hedges and the separated areas. We went on Monday and it was almost empty which is a shame for the owners but good for us(sorry), our dog loved having space to run as did our granddaughter.
Facilities are clean, good showers, plenty of water though it grieves me to see hot water running down the drain, prefer proper taps.
The owner is very friendly and welcoming.
She recommended the farm close by and we were so grateful as our five year old granddaughter loved it.
We will be returning.

Great campsite. Loads to do around the area.
Toilets and shower clean and warm. Plenty of bins and water points.
Wasn't charged any extra for having a big air tent, given 2 spots to accommodate us and the car.
Owners very friendly and helpful

Loved this site. We arrived late on Thursday due to stupid diversion around Stafford.
There were only two other campers. It got much busier over the weekend but the sight of that beautiful green field, divided by mature trees and hedges, well looked after just stayed with us.
The facilities are pretty good and clean, the shower set up actually works very well.
It was lovely and peaceful apart from the amazing thunder and lightening storm but the site coped well with the absolute deluge, by this morning it was pretty dried out.
The owner has an excellent memory and is very friendly.
It is a farm but is very tidy. We stayed as we wanted to visit Buxton but misjudged how far it is, and Crich which was nearer and good.
There are loads of farm shops fairly close though oddly they seemed disinclined to be serving after 3pm.
We definitely intend to return. We feel so chilled after three nights.
Our dog was welcome too, he loved it when noone else was there. Lovely

Nothing to dislike, perfect place.
Part of a working farm but you would never know, the campsite is surrounded by mature trees, and pods/areas are kept private by 6ft hedges and so It makes you feel very close to nature, the bird singing is wonderful.
The toilet/shower facilities are warm and kept clean, as is the pot wash area.
The dog walk area is also lovely and you get a wonderful view of Crich Stand and Riber castle in the distance,

I love this site!
Surrounded by trees, with a very good well maintained facility block, a wetroom bathroom for people with disabilities, outside pot washing area and freezer for ice packs.
The pitches are generally a good size but be aware that some are under trees. Our tent is a tall tepee and we made sure we had a pitch away from the trees.
He site is divided into smaller sections by mature hedges which gives a sense of privacy.
The little reception area at the farmhouse includes tourist information leaflets including a nice 2 hour walk from the site around Cuckoo Stone and Lumsdale the site of an old wool mill.
The facilities are very clean and well maintained and the price was a fairly standard one for EHU.
A favourite local site for us whenever we want a quick break that we know will be good quality.

We had booked last year so they allowed us to stay on the 3 or 4 dry pitches.
They had closed the rest of the site and seeing comments from other sites of campers drowning I feel they did the correct thing.
If they turned you down it's worth booking again as it's about your enjoyment they focus on.
Simple site but a lovely warm shower block.

Brilliant site with a very friendly and helpful owner.
Well organised pitches with hedges to divide areas to give a bit of privacy / windbreak.
Great shower block, very clean.
Pot wash area very good and handy freezer for ice packs.
Great for families and solo travellers. Dog friendly.
Will definitely stay again ;)

Lovely quiet site with spotless facilities
The owner was very helpful on the phone and welcomed us on arrival with a choice of pitches.
A little bit tricky to find ( maybe due to satnav)
Would recommend
