 Used for a one night stopover passing through the area. Amazed that price comparable with two independent sites near by.
Automatic entry on numberplate recognition so no queues - even just after 1. 15 on a Friday.
Loved the big open area, massive pitches - we thought being in forest would be very shady but majority of pitches very open to the sunshine.
Pitching in various areas so doesn't feel regimented at all.
Facilities blocks almost new. One side closes at a time for cleaning so always able to use loos / showers throughout the day.
A little coffee/ cake truck on site daily til 3pm, signs for various different food trucks mid evening.
We found site Internet worked really well, sign in every 4 hours for free and good signal. Phone signal for us was perfect too.
Absolutely loved it here, would not hesitate to stay again (we couldn't book another night as full).

Our first time visiting this site. We thought it was stunning.
The facilities have clearly been updated recently and are immaculate. The wardens were very helpful and pleased to provide local advice etc.
We ate at the Black Horse and the Feathers as recommended in the site leaflet and found them both excellent. There is a food van of some kind on site most evenings and a lovely coffee bar on site most days selling cakes and drinks.
The site location offers great woodland walks, but note, if you go the the Sandringham Estate you cannot take your dog around the gardens.
The only negative is there is little or no phone signal on site - you need to walk up the woodland path by the glamping area to the CCC site entrance to use your phone.
The free wi-fi was hopeless as it would connect then immediately disconnect. For the cost of staying there this should be improved.
The EHU bollards have a TV aerial socket but we could only get a handful of channels. We took stuff to read, a board game and some DVDs so we were ok, but be mindful of the signal issue if keeping in touch is important.
In summary, a lovely site - a great base for exploring Norfolk - we were sad to leave but will, I am sure, return

First visit to the Sandringham site and we stopped for 4 nights. We were welcomed by a very friendly site warden, who helped us identify pitches that were not under trees and would be good if the sun came out.
Weather unfortunately was very ‘hit and miss’, we would have lovely sunshine and then heavy showers, and this did make some of the pathways outside the site muddy.
The sites pitches were of average condition and are mostly level but we found we had to use ramps as the slope was too great. The facilities are the old standard CMC style and do need to upgraded, but they were always clean.
There are some good cycle routes form the site which we tried, one to Wolferton station (the ex Royal Train Station for Sandringham), one to Kings Lynn, and one to the Sandringham Estate. You can also walk to Sandringham which takes about 50m, which we did and we bought tickets for the Sandringham House and Gardens well worth a visit. These cycle and walking routes were handed to us on arrival by the warden.
There is a nice pub and a quaint tea garden at castle Rising both were very good, and there is a bus stop outside the site for the Hunstanton to Kings Lynn bus.
The site shop sells some essentials like milk, but would suggest you arrived well stocked as supermarkets are quite a trek unless you have a car.
For the majority of our stay the site was quiet and peaceful, only broken by the evensong of cooing of pigeons or barking dogs.
Good thing due to sites remoteness, a fish and chip van and a pizza van come on site during the week

The welcome was so lovely. (Best ever in fact). The wardens were so helpful, obviously love their job. It was a pleasure calling in the reception. Lovely to drive round to pick your own pitch.
Showers clean, powerful and hot. (No buttons/timers). Privacy cubicals and 2 hairdryers. Heating was on so it was nice and warm.
Part of the site was closed due to it being low season.
Really good (tasty) chippy van calls 3 times during the week. Pizza man once but we were unaware of that 😞
Best thing for us was the bus stop at the gate. We used it for Hunstanton and Sandringham House (which wasn’t open but the visitors centre was).
Loads of lovely walks around the campsite and through the woods.
Cannot comment on children’s facilities as it was term time so no children on site, but the park looked good and hopping in the bus up to Hunstanton would make an ideal day out.
And child friendliness I can only assume it would be.
If you are thinking about booking this site: Just do it! You will enjoy!

Arrived on site and wardens were very helpful and friendly. First we went to the motorhome point and filled up with fresh water. Onto our allocated pitch 103 which had quite a slope on it. To be fair it seems that most pitches are sloping. The site is very clean and well organised. One of the areas of the site was closed as one of the facility blocks was having maintenance.
I only used the accessible toilet/shower room but it was very clean and well maintained. For once there were soap baskets in the shower area.
We ventured onto the coast which was not too far away and found a car park suitable for motorhomes.
I went for plenty of walks in the woods and toward Sandringham house.
The site is in a good location but be prepared for weak phone signal and 4G coverage. The site wifi is quite weak and intermittent.
All in all a good site in a pleasant location with good local walks.

Lovely site surrounded by the forest. Well kept, shower block clean but needs updating. Good play area for kids & open spacious pitches.
Sandringham house is a 30 minute walk away. The grounds & stunning interior of the church are free to visit and were well maintained with lots of interest.
The house at £20 per person to visit around 6 rooms was very expensive! Hunstanton is easy to visit on the bus & the site had lots of info on buses, walking and cycling routes.
Chip van (5 scores on doors) visits 3x a week, take a orders & gives a time to collect. Was delicious!

Absolutely brilliant site with very scenic surroundings. Direct path to visit Sandringham House if this is your thing. We came here for the fantastic cycle routes principally and will visit again.
From the site you can travel to many wonderful days out including Norfolk Lavender and Cromer Pier and town. The site is well managed and friendly staff are there to help with anything you need.
The site is visited in the week by two different food vans, a Fish and Chips one and a Wood Fired Pizza van They both play a horn at tea time to signal their arrival. Handy if you don't fancy cooking and seem very popular.
Toilets and showers super clean and well kept. We stayed at the top of the site, a bit of a hill if you have to consider this.
The wifi is absolutely awful and the site has teamed with AirAngel who charge for each person in the caravan who use wifi. This was the only downside of the site and for a family of four, this would be very expensive. We used our phones, tethered.
A very quiet site surrounded by beautiful trees, we really enjoyed the setting and peace and quiet.

On approach to the site one person goes to reception and is given a site map and two wristbands. Once you have chosen your pitch you return to reception, are given a fob for opening the barrier and you pay your campsite fees. There is hand sanitizer outside of reception.
Most of the pitches have a slight slope and you may need chocks. All of the grass pitches appeared to be on a slope.
The children’s park was closed due to coronavirus.
There are two toilet/shower blocks. To use them during these unusual times you place your wristband on one of two hooks outside the blocks and collect it on your way out. If the two hooks already have wristbands on them then you will have to wait in a socially distanced queue outside. This works well except when those leaving the blocks forget to take their wristbands. Outside of the toilets/showers, and wash up area there are hand sanitizers available.
There are a further three water points with CDPs. There were no hand sanitizers available at these points when we were there.
The hard standings were of a good size and the EHUs had two TV aerial points on them, which is good as the signal was not good from the caravan aerial. Mobile ‘phone signal was not good.
During high season a fish and chip van appears three time a week and a pizza van twice a week. Both accept contactless payments and both are very good. The fish and chip van ran out of fish one night so it may be a good idea to order early.
The nearby area is good to visit. There are a number of walks from the site into the Sandringham Estate. There are also a number of coastal attractions close by but you may need to time your visits carefully as the roads can become very crowded during the day.
There is a box near the exit barrier to deposit your key fob and wristbands on departure.
