The site served it's purpose - a stopover in Thurso, so no complaints about that.
However, it was dated and felt under-cared for.
Of all the NC500 site we've stayed at so far it ranks the lowest.
But, we wanted a Thurso stop, so.

Friendly reception, great views out to sea, watching ferry out and back and other ships coming into port up the road.
Facilities block rather dated but does the job. Lidl across the road, plus short walk along sea front into town, Tesco and Co-op plus usual variety of independent shops.
Restaurant/take-away on site at weekends, can honestly say the portions were huge.
We paid £33 per night for 2 adults with electric.

Warm friendly reception.
Easy check-in. Very well kept grass pitch near toilet and showers.
Not sure if it was blowing a hoolie !
Otherwise I would highly recommend.

Pleasant site with excellent views and easy access to local shops and amenities.
Showered and toilets a little dated but generally well maintained and relatively clean with ample hot water.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Not somewhere I would want to spend a holiday but more than adequate for a one or two night stay.

Very friendly staff and wonderful location.
Did not enjoy the fact that the toilets had a code number - needed to carry my glasses and phone with the number.
Showers had nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc and too little space to get dry and leave your clean clothes

2nd best site on our tour.
Site is on the clifftop some pitches need big level blocks.
Toilets are dated but clean.
2 min walk to the beach along the coastal path probably not handy for young children as there's steps.
Easy walk into town.
Site has a cafe didn't visit. Lidl is across the main road.
Would stay here if I was up that way.

Lidl across the road and benefit of a diner on site.
Would definitely stay here again.

I'd heard this site was closed but can see it's still open now.
When we went we thought it was somewhat dated but everywhere was clean and tidy.
The bright illuminated Aldi sign (I think) was a bit incongruous. I am not sure there's anywhere else to stay around Thurso, some interesting pubs within walking distance. I recall one had a door that was covered in library wallpaper so you wouldn't have known it was there.
