 For a change we headed north and chose this site based on the existing good reviews.
The access to the site is a turn off from the A6 up Weavers Lane. It is signed bur easily missed. The access road is mainly tarmacked single track with a few passing places this isn’t a problem. Reception to the site is on the left, best to park at the side of reception giving yourself room for a 90 degree turn to access the touring pitches through the barrier. Access to reception was very good and accessible for wheelchair users with a shallow ramp.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. You are given all site information in their welcome pack. There is a £20 deposit on the barrier fob that is returned at the end of your stay. The barrier is opened when entering site by clicking on the left button of the fob.
The electric supply is 10 amp, we used £8 in four days. The electric is via a card system and full oral and written advice is given how to use the card. The site roads are tarmac leading to the pitches, the caravan area of the pitch is tarmac with the awning area on hardstanding (very hard! needing suitable pegs or screws).
Cars are parked in front of the caravan and awning space leaving sufficient space between the cars to allow for travel between the cars. There are overhead electricity cables and a pylon nearly over the caravans. I didn’t have any problems caused by this.
Most pitches have their individual electric supply with drinking water and waste water. There is limited recycling, general, carboard and glass the containers are next to the amenity block as you enter/leave site.
The amenity block comprised toilet and showers for ladies and gents with a separate facility for the disabled. There is also a launderette and dishwashing facility. The toilets were kept very clean and I think reflected the care and attention shown.
There a re two elsan points one next to the amenity block the other at the other end of the site. There is also a children’s playground. A great asset to the site is the pub restaurant which we used a couple of times.
The prices of food and drink were reasonable, we had excellent weather and the beer garden had several tables and enjoyed great views.
There is a little noise at times not surprising because of the proximity to the railway and Motorway M6 this didn’t concern me at all. Payment at the pub and restaurant is by card only.
The site is a mixture of mobile homes seasonal tourers and general tourers, it is very well maintained by friendly helpful staff. The greatest compliment you can give a site is to say you will return, we will.

Had 3 nights stay the food was lovely
The bar very friendly

Have booked in for new year 4 nights

Absolutely beautiful site everything you need.
Family came to visit for the day.
Pitches a little difficult to get in due to other caravans on opposite pitches.

A really good extremely well maintained site.
We booked a fully serviced hard standing pitch, the ground was extremely hard and bent quite a few of my pegs.
I believe you get get rock peg which you can drill into the ground, these are definitely needed for this site.
Our pitch was right under the crackle of an electric pylon and I didn’t half get a belt off my caravan when pitching up.
Watch out for this!
The owner couldn’t be more helpful showing us to our pitch, the site operates a barrier system which is £20 refundable deposit.
Excellent toilet and shower block, spotlessly clean and a really good bar(stepping stones) overlooking the river witch serves nice pub grub.
We had a walk(10mins from the site) to the little village of Scornton one day where there had a excellent garden centre with a vast assortment of cakes and ice cream, I would highly recommend going here.
Lots of seasonal pitches with a real friendly atmosphere and a safe environment for children to play.
Would recommend, and would give a higher mark if it wasn’t for the extra hard ground on the pitch and the bolts from the pylon from above.

Absolutely loved this site, the owners are so friendly. Lovely walk across the fields to Scorton, we visited the Barn beautiful garden centre, gift shop and restaurant with a beautiful outdoor sitting area.
Claylands has it's own welcoming bar/ restaurant ( Stepping stones ) serving good food, very dog friendly !
The site is very well kept with great fishing ponds, the toilet and showers were warm and clean.
We will definitely be returning for another visit x

Laverick Hall Caravan Site - Lancaster
This touring site offers spectacular views towards the Lake District and Morecambe Bay, with Blackpool Tower also in the distance, yet located just over 3 miles from Junctions 34 and 35 of the M6 motorway. Visitors will find just 10 electric pitches for motorhomes and touring caravans, with access to the superfast Wifi, toilets with sinks, a shower room and fresh water taps. We were meant to be here for a few night but due to unforeseen circumstances we couldn’t get here on time but the park staff were only to pleased to help us out. And what a nice place.
The kids loved the play area. The showers/toilets are very clean. The on site pub/restaurant is fantastic. The beer garden is brilliant with a steep decline to the river / stream which the kids loved playing in.
Picture the scene. It’s around 7pm, weather is hot and sunny, kids are happy, me and our peg have a cold lager each and just then a steam train goes past in the distance.

We stayed here in a tent with EHU for 2 nights (2 adults 2 children), it was our first camping trip so nothing to compare against but we loved it.
Toilets and showers always clean and had pegs to hang clothes up which was good. Site was very well maintained and clean. Very small shop on site mainly selling sweets etc.
Pub serving food on site but we didn't go in so cant comment. Brilliant play-park for the kids we hardly saw them!
Nice stream for kids to play in behind pub and fishing available.
Lovely site will definitely go back.

Just returned from a weekend at this site. Our pitch was just inside the gate by the shower block, witch was ideal for us as water, waste water, elsan point and bins were all situated there.
Most of the tourers were at the other end of the site near a play park which our kids liked, but could do with updating. There was also an electricity pylon which is a bit of an eyesore and does buzz quite a lot.
This did not affect us, as we were at the top end. The shower block was clean and warm with plenty of hot water and in the lobby was a defibrillator. First time I have seen one on a caravan site.
The laundrette had two washers and two dryers. Not sure of the cost as we didn't use them. The on site pub looked lovely with great views and a nice beer garden. The staff on site were friendly and helpful.
I would use this site again for a weekend away, if I had a pitch by the shower block.

Stayed here for a weekend in February, nice well kept site very clean and tidy. The Facilities were good and showers lovely and warm.
We were at the top end were you come in through the barrier which was quite a nice pitch no3 but small I thought I'm used to bigger pitches and close to the amenities which was great for me as I'm in a wheelchair, everything was really good and wheelchair friendly.
However I would not of liked to be were the other pitches are, as they are right by a pylon that makes a crackling noise and quite loudly I think it would really annoy me to be honest. If your at the lower end pitches, there is a walk up a slope to the toilet block and to fill water and empty waste, they could do with another one where the other pitches are, also this is the only place to empty your bins, its not a long walk about 5 mins but pulling a heavy waste master or water barrel could be a struggle for some.
There is a small shop on site, and a restaurant and bar with wonderful views at the back and nice garden to have drinks outside, there are 4 ponds and fishing, and a children's play area which my children loved ages 10&14 but again that is situated by all the other tourers down the slope, and can get quite noisy as there is also a train line not far from there were you can see the trains and hear them a quite a lot.
There is a little wooden bridge that goes over the river to a field this is a public right of way and I could imagine to be lovely in the summer for walks.
All in all a nice place for a weekend get away or a bank holiday weekend but I don't think I would want to stay any longer than that. Would I go again possibly as I say for a short break.

The best site we have been too so far lovely restaurant and bar facilities all great!there's Lovely walks and scenery and we will definitely be returning
However 1 tiny drawback we were camped almost next to the pylon we weren't too bothered though as we used the pub on site to block that thought out lol!
