 Great value for money Great location, great field with electric hook up. Shirley is very polite, friendly and helpful.
Working farm so expect some activity, but was good while we were here. WiFi with good connectivity.
Toilets and showers need updating. No toilet paper or soap is supplied. Glad we had our own shower to use.
If some small upgrades were done on the facilities it would make a big difference, and prepared to pay £10 more if they were of good quality.
Will come back and hope to see some improvement.
It has great potential.

A basic campsite with dated but perfectly functional facilities.
Being a farm location with sublet units it is busy during the day but very quiet during the evening and night.
Very close to a heritage steam railway.
Very reasonable prices for grass pitch with or without 16Amp electricity.
It's a short drive to Loughborough with all shops etc.

Great little place for the price.
Very friendly elderly couple run it.
Toilet, showers and washing facilities, although not the best, could do with a modernisation, for the price you pay its adequate.
Been a few times, close to local amenities.

We stayed at the campsite knowing that it was a working farm so sort of knew what to expect,
The building at the back where you can wash up, use the toilet and 2 showers was a little dated but more than acceptable for a working farm,
It was extremely peaceful where people were concerned but the sheep made sure you knew they were there.
The lady who runs it was chatty, knowledgeable and extremely polite and made sure I knew that if we needed anything we just need to ask,
We will definitely return in the future

Well kept field on an active farm - others have noted to expect some vehicle movement throughout the day/early hours which is accurate but generally very peaceful.
Close to a lot of different towns/villages with lots of opportunities for walks and dining out, but still feels like a retreat if that's what you're looking for.

There was a rally on the field when we arrived.
We booked way in advance and after some deliberation we set op our caravan in the far corner, just adjacent the sheep field.
We had a lovely 3 days. Weather was good and the views perfect.
Only downside are the amenities basic just about covers it. But even then, please clean the toilets and the showers. I didn't dare to use the showers at all.
But apart from this, it's a wonderfully set campsite near the beautiful heritage railway.

The campsite was in a lovely location, but the facilities are a little dated.
Host very helpful and being within the farm made it pleasurable.
The field we were in was good and flat, but might be difficult if the ground was wet.

Always love staying here, about our 5th time! lovely and quiet, yes there are lorry’s early in the morning but it doesn’t bother us and has never woken my boys yet!
We don’t need the showers as have one in the caravan.
My granddaughter loves to hear the steam engines going past with Quorn station not far away and easy to walk to we try to time our stays when there’s something going on at the station and my kids just spend the day riding trains, shops not too far away nor is Loughborough and Bradgate parks only 20min drive.
See you again in the new year!

We had a very comfortable stay here. The pitch was quiet and pretty level, and the facilities were clean and in full working order.
We had an electric hookup and that too worked fine.
The owners were very friendly and we had interesting conversations with them.
The site has the added benefit of the nearby Great Central Railway.
In summary, and excellent stopover on our route up the country.

On our arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady (Shirley) who showed us where to set up and also told a little about the facilities.
The location was beautiful - not too far from the main road, but far enough away for the site to be very quiet, with a plethora of wildlife all around.
The facilities on site were adequate, but because of being self contained, we did not need the showers.
Shirley came across a couple of times to make sure that all was well - a credit to the business.
She certainly made you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
I would recommend this location if you are looking to find somewhere quiet, peaceful and welcoming.
