Have stayed here quite a few times before but was our first time since having our little boy.
The owners are really welcoming. Got toilets and showers on site, shop and pub 5 minute walk away.
Had a really lovely weekend. Our little boy absolutely loved it, he loves the outdoors and walking and he was in his element as there was a tractor in the field where we stayed which he absolutely loved going to see.
Highlight of the weekend was the farmer bringing over an 8 day old lamb for our son to see and I got to hold it and also showing us 2 new baby lambs that were born when we were there.
Lovely walks and so peaceful.

Stayed at Tan House Farm campsite to attend a wedding at the Haybarn nearby.
We enjoyed a field to ourselves in glorious surroundings on a sunny May weekend.
No hook up and facilities clean but rudimentary but that is just how we like it.
Jenny was friendly and welcoming (as were the lambs) and linked us up with Jill's taxis for journeys to and from the venue.
Practical and idyllic stay, highly recommended

Great place to just chill, the dogs loved the river too.
Great not to have WIFI so can get away from it all, the farmers very friendly, hot showers and big field, .
All very relaxed just pitch where you want.
Pub just up the road if you need it. We will be back 😃

Beautiful spot with clean basic facilities - stream at bottom of the field to cool off.
Pub and village supplies 5 min walk.
Great walk up to castle and Offas Dyke. Hay on Wye just 30 mins by car.

Cwtch Cabins And Camping - Ledbury
With easy access to the Wye Valley, or the Malverns, this is a fantastic spot for a back-to-nature camping escape, with all electricity generated on site. Non-electric grass pitches with fire pits for your tent or campervan, or enjoy the home comforts of various quirky wooden cabins and thoughtfully renovated shepherd's huts. Despite its offgrid feel, guests can access brand-new toilets and hot showers.
With thoughtful touches around the camping field, including planting, beautiful wild grasses, and flourishing vegetable beds, the site sits between Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Newent, providing a pick of independent shops and amenities. Pubs and cider makers are located a stroll away, and dogs are welcome. Look forward to a warm welcome from hosts Ruth, James, and their cheery canines Chaucer and Luther! Find out more here

Spent four days at this lovely site. The field is flat and drainage good as we had one day of constant rain but found no pooling of water.
The two showers were clean and hot with one toilet by the showers, but there were two portaloos on the site although one was missing a lock ability to whistle an advantage using this loo!
Would agree with earlier comment about tightness of space by sink if wanting access to the toilet and shower, it would be better for a washing up area to be outside somewhere under a lean to there by freeing up space by the toilet area.
Farmer and his wife very pleasant and helpful.
The nearby pub and restaurant was very good and the area ideal for walking.
Would definitely go there again and not hesitate to recommend this site to others.

There is no doubt this campsite is in a great spot, The main problem is that there is only 1 loo and 1 sink in the shower block. There are also 2 portaloos, I know camping is basic but none of our party ventured in those!
Within the shower block is the only sink so if you are washing up and some one needs the loo you have to do a shuffle to let them in and then when they come out they either have a choice to not wash their hands or interrupt your washing up to get to the tap.
This could be easily remedied but putting a sink outside for washing up but I suspect the owners are not in a hurry to do any maintenance. This is based on the fact that a shower was not working whilst we were there and the response was that often happens!
The Crown pub nearby was excellent really hospitable and good food. With just a more little input this site would be fantastic

Just spent two nights at Tan House Farm Camp Site.
What a gem. It is tents only so no vans blocking the view of the Black Mountains.
The showers (2) and one loo are attached to the farm house. They are clean, hot and free. There are two porta-loos in the field (with loo roll). Only one open while I was there.
Also in the shower block is a double drainer sink for washing up etc.
The field is quite large with the river Monnow (very shallow) at the bottom. I shared it all with 2 other tents.
Pub (food) is 200yds away with the shop and post office just beyond the pub.
When arriving if no answer at the house go to the shop. Failing that the owners (who are very pleasant) come round in the evening to collect the money.
This is a smashing site, camping like it used to be. Not at all regimented. At £5 per person good value. I will go again.

Just spent a great weekend at this campsite. A group of 25 of us ranging from babies to us older folk headed down for one of the hottest weekends so far this year.
This site is in a great location for walking, Canoeing in Hay, local castle and secluded local pubs. Most of us spent the days messing about in the river Monnow but you need to wear footwear as three of the kids cut their feet on glass. The Farmer was very concerned by this and said he would get in the river and try and find it once we had gone.
The Showers are clean, comfortable and hot. The owners have added porta loos to support the one toilet in the main block. The owners had fire wood available so we cooked 30 jacket potatoes in the fire of the Saturday night! You can see the pub and local shop from the site which is an added bonus.
The owners were friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. I would recommend this site to anybody it’s a hidden gem. The cost for two adults and two children (4 and 6 years) for 3 nights was £60, which we thought was a little pricey. To be fair on the owner’s website it does state £5 per person per night and we assumed there would be a discount for kids.

This was a fantastic campsite. The toilet block was very clean, with 2 showers and a large sink ideal for cleaning your plates and leaflets of local walks. The field is flat and idyllic with a small river at one end and a fantastic view of the nearby black mountains at the other. There is a nearby village shop owned by the farmer and a next to that a local pub.
