 Compared to the Camping and Caravan Club "mega-sites" this one is relatively small. If we had been in a camper van, or even a tent using electric hook up, I would be giving top marks but there are issues with the "grass only" tent pitches that you should be aware of before you book.
But first, the good points:
. Relatively cheap
. Warm welcome, helpful wardens
. Walking distance to Jedburgh town centre incl large Co-Op
. Petrol station "Spar" mini shop and Woolen Mill cafe by entrance
. Sheltered by mature trees
. Facilities spotless
And then the potential downsides:
. No security or gate barriers
. Main road noise, though much less at night
. Linear site - our pitch was prob a 200m walk to the facilities
. Grass relatively long so quite wet with dew in the mornings
. Cars parked nearby but not adjacent to your pitch
. No picnic tables or benches for the many backpackers
. Wifi sporadic - worked some days but not others
. Little sunshine so midges might be a problem
. Tourist info seemed a little tired and needed a re-vamp
Overall we thought the area was interesting and deserves to be better known. We will return but probably only with an electric hook up pitch.

We almost always go via Jedburgh to the north of Scotland, so we’re pleased to see the campsite (it’s a Camping/Motorhome club site) open as we weren’t sure if it was shutting.
Booked a couple of nights’ stopover which we really enjoyed despite the very mixed weather.
It is just off the main through road, the A68, where you can easily walk into the town via a lane along the river.
A small and well organised site with very helpful and friendly managers. Greeted and shown to our pitch (great gravel hard standing, flat and plenty of space).
The site is older, yet Facilities are immaculate and modernised, cleaned thoroughly and kept on top of every day which I saw. Hot showers, great wash up area and organised waste/recycling facilities. Think there’s also a laundry too.
There’s lots of information on the local area, lots of history and a great base for exploring as well as being a great stopover for the North.
We would stay again, it’s apparently been extended for another year we hope it is able to remain open.

We've stopped in nicer truck stops, access is through a trading estate. The site is a walkthrough to the local playing fields and does not feel private or secure, staff were not very helpful, dismissive and even rude, overall terrible experience, would not return

The campsite was friendly and easily accessible.
I had a very quiet pitch, though a little far from the facilities.
Facilities were as expected, not fancy but regularly cleaned and in working order.
Road noise early evening and morning but quiet at night.
I would recommend.

We were a bit worried about this site after reading some of the reviews on here. However we had no problems with the site and enjoyed our visit.
The site is a bit tired but was adequate for our needs. The facilities were always clean and we never had to wait to use the loo or shower.
It seems to be mostly hard standing but as we were on an end pitch (14) we were able to peg out our awning on the grass. Some of the pitches did look very small.
We walked into Jedburgh several times along the river which was very pleasant. We visited Mary Queen of Scots House and Jedburgh castle Jail museum which were very interesting. There is a nice Co op to restock your provisions.
The Edinburgh Woolen Mills across the road has got a very nice cafe where we enjoyed a coffee and sandwich and also found some bargains in the shop.
We found the site staff very pleasant and helpful from beginning to end and we will definitely revisit this site

Quiet but busy camp site.
Easy check in, really helpful staff (Steve) and excellent facilities including laundry.
Will likely stay again on way back south.

Great basic site, clean toilet/shower block and laundry. Very helpful and friendly staff, especially when we had trouble with our car whilst visiting.
Close to Jedburgh, just a 10/15 min walk along the river to the high street.
The castle/Jail, Mary Queen of Scotts house and the Abbey all worth a visit.
Edinburgh Woollen Mill opposite served great full English Breakfast and breakfast baps.
Bus stop outside the site too.
Some road noise, but nothing that disturbed sleep.

Pitches are a bit tight and not a fan of gravel to pitch an awning
But beautiful setting and amenities good and clean
Used the local bus to visit Jedburgh with pick up and drop of at gate

Great welcome at reception. Taken straight to our pitch. Staff always friendly and helpful.
Showers and toilet blocks always spotless.
Would definitely visit again
Easy to find the site and a mile walk into Jedburgh. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas

After many years caravanning, this was our first outing in our new (to us) motorhome. We have stayed here before and will happily do so again.
All the usual high standards of the CCC apply.
We met a charming gentleman who was staying in his motorhome. When we told him this was our first proper outing, he was most helpful with advice. He was good enough to give us a gift of a key ring engraved with a profile from the Lake District hills. He had made it himself from steel.
He also took the time to give us advice on stowing away and then presented us with a roll of rubber cupboard lining used to prevent movement of the items stored. A lovely man whose help and generosity was much appreciated.
We also enjoyed some chats with fellow CCC members. Great people.
WC block may be a bit dated but don't be put off as it is kept very clean.
Staff are a credit to the CCC.
