 Great site, expensive, but very well run with good and clean facilities.
Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great for visiting Salisbury, either by walking in (about 30mins) or by bus.
Harvester restaurant near by, as is Old Sarum which is lovely for an evening walk.
Slight slope to pitch, but fine with some chocks

Fantastic site, bus stop outside, Rugby club bar, next door, dog walks everywhere, including massive Hudsons field, Harvest restaurant across the field.
Beautiful walk along the river to Salisbury, market day Tuesday and Saturday.
Staff best ever, so cheerful, helpful and accommodating.
They give you a brochure full of information on arrival.

We used to live in Salisbury, returning to meet up with family and friends.
Excellent site, well managed, clean and tidy. Walking distance from Salisbury, Hopback Summer Lightning beer in the Rugby Club next door (discount for campers).
Old Sarum, Hudson Field and riverside walks nearby.
Great place to stay.

Returned to Salisbury C&CC for the first trip of the 2026 season for me.
Not much has changed since my last visit in November 2025 with the same helpful staff.
Hot Turtle the pop up wood fire pizza van was there on Good Friday, highly recommended.
Originally planned for 5 nights, however, the weather was really good on Tuesday so I decided to stay another night for a grand sum of 7. 00 GBP!
I did go back to check if the price was correct as it was showing nearly 3 times the price on C&CC's website with over 60 concession; however, it was apparently correct, bargain in my book.
All in all, a very good trip.

Just returned from a short 3-night trip from this campsite and it was a very pleasant stay as usual.
Quite busy for November - I guess they made the right decision to turn grass pitches into hardstanding ones so that they could stay open all year round.
They were making changes to the electricity supply to the lower field and was not available on Thursday when I arrived. However, it was opened from Saturday onwards.
Only the main facilities block was opened this time of the year; and they were not able to allocate a pitch near it as I had requested in my booking due to reduced mobility. However, they offered me a pitch closed to the top facilities block along with the use of the disabled toilet and shower which I gladly accepted.
Note to self - avoid leaving on a Sunday as Hudson Field was well-used for football practices and matches, with lots of parked cars along road leading to the campsite as the car park was full!
My dog loved Hudson Field next to the campsite, and the walk into Salisbury city centre was well-used by pedestrians and cyclists during daytime, and was well-maintained. I walked back when there was still light, and do not know if it is well lit. I walked along the main road when it was dark in the past.
All in all, a very nice stay, and I have planned to do more spur of the moment short trips pending on good weather, now that I no longer have to worry about my elderly cat.

Great site but as usual for CCC (even for members) expensive compared to other sites,
Good location for walks into Salisbuy and the surrounding area, nicely maintained, friendly wardens and fairly level pitches. Facilities are good and plentiful.
Chip van on Mondays and Pizza van on Fiday evenings when we stayed

First trip of the season and first trip with C&CC's Age Concession (AC) after being a member since 2007, woo hoo!
The staff were as helpful, knowledgeable and nice as ever.
The ladies toilet and shower block had an upgrade with new colour scheme; and the shower cubicles have new furniture. Gone are the curtains and seats, replaced with a divider with a bench, like the ones I have come across in CAMC's club sites and in Mainland Europe.
The shop on site does not stock fresh milk and eggs, however, they are available up the road from a vending machine by the rugby club.
My dog loved the big field next door.
Pizzas from Hot Turtle every Friday on site and I enjoyed mine.
A note of warning about the Harvester nearby. I made a mistake and ordered their beef short rib with mesh and vegetables, to find the short rib was a tiny piece no more than 3-4 mouthfuls. I checked with one of the staff and she confirmed it was a full size portion, which I did not believe it was worth the money I paid for. I would rather pay another 4 GBP or so and get a full rack of pork ribs! Be warned!
A very nice site close to Salisbury city centre which is open all year round nowadays. Highly recommended.

A short trip to keep trying out things in the new campervan. The site, open all year, was brilliant for this.
Clean and warm shower block; I was given a hard standing nearby.
Friendly neighbours who were full-timing: we went together to quiz night at the rugby club next door, representing the Camping Club, and came a respectable second.
Incidentally, the bar has a public licence and actively welcome campers.
The city is within walking distance, with a great Waitrose for emergency supplies, and treats.
A trip around the cathedral is a must do; and Old Sarum, with site of castle and old cathedral is next door.

Site has great facilities as you’d expect from a club site. Everything neat clean and well cared for, facilities in good condition and lots of hot water good showers.
Not much here for kids as far as we could see. Pitches can be quite sloping so ramps def needed.
Coop near by although we didn’t use it. 25 min walk along the river Avon into city centre for shops food and sight seeing.
The area, Salisbury Plain, is great for off road cycling and you reach it very quickly, the other side of Old Sarum Hillfort.
We’d like to come back again.

We love this site. Lovely staff, great location and facilities.
So many excellent and varied walks nearby.
You can wander into Salisbury along the river and explore this historic and fascinating town with great shopping and eating opportunities and some lovely and old pubs and of course the cathedral.
There are also walks up to and around Old Sarum or there are several walks around the surrounding beautiful countryside.

Returned to Salisbury C&CC club site over the Easter weekend.
The site was not as busy as in previous Easter weekends, most likely due to a combination of Easter being early this year and the wet and windy weather, with not a tent in sight during my entire stay.
The combination locks on the doors of the main facilities block had gone, and there was a sign to say the water in the dishwashing room was not drinking water which was new to me this year as far as I can remember.
Otherwise nothing else had changed with plenty of very hot water in the showers, very clean facilities, and friendly and helpful staff as per usual.
For those who are researching for sites near Salisbury, this one is great with the large Hudson Field next door for exercising the dogs, and Salisbury city centre can be reached on foot in about 30 to 45min.
There was a regular visiting Hot Turtle wood-fire pizza pop up on Fridays (very good for what I had in previous years) and there is a Harvester just a short walk from the site. A Co-op is only a short-walk away, and there is a small shop on site stocking basic provisions.

Staff made us feel welcome on arrival and took us to our pitch.
Facilities good and clean. Hot showers, clean loos.
The walk into Salisbury along the river is interrupted by works so we went on the main road as it was easier.

We stayed for 4 nights, Monday through to Friday, we had a great welcome from the staff and directed to a hard standing pitch adjacent to one of the facility blocks, which we asked for when booking and the staff had reserved for us.
However the downside of this particular pitch which just shows ignorance of other campers as they walked to the facility block skimming past our awning and drove very close to our pitch as a short cut to bypass the circuitous route to cut across the grass pitches to exit the site.
Facilities are excellent with a laundry etc in the larger block and clean showers and bathrooms in both blocks. Black waste in the larger facility block and on the end of the reception building, there is a drive over grey waste dump which is strangely on the way in to the site, as it is a one way system in place you end up doing two circuits if dumping before leaving.
Plenty of walking area's and its a reasonable flat walk in to the city, there is a co-op on the main road if you just want a paper and a pint of milk.
We like this site which is convenient for the city and no doubt, will pitch up there again.

Having not stayed here for 8 years we were pleasantly surprised with the lovely 'new' hard-standings.
Fantastic, friendly welcome from the wardens and we were asked where we preferred to be pitched.
We managed to bag a lovely hardstanding in the top field, near the facilities, overlooking the view of Old Sarum. Perfect.
Good, clean facilities and never over busy, although the site was full.
Lovely walk up to Old Sarum Hill and a really good Harvester Restaurant opposite. Nice easy walk into the city of Salisbury (ask the wardens for written directions) with loads more walks in and around including the cathedral.
Co-op up on the main road a 10/15 minute walk from the site (past the spitfire!).
Pitches lower down did look to be quite sloping but ours was OK once up on levellers.
Once again our only issue was constant yapping dogs. We're dog lovers but it gets to you in the end!
Would it stop us staying again? Definitely not. A great site for a couple of nights in a motorhome if you don't want to drive around.
