Stayed here for 3 nights in mid-July before the schools broke up, in our campervan with awning. It was a tidy, well kept campsite and run by nice friendly people.

We had a EHU pitch very close to the beach, so a lovely location, but extremely windy when we were there. Had to peg the awning down with extra pegs in case it blew away when we took the van away sight seeing each day.

The beach was huge and excellent for walking and swimming. It was a bit of a walk to the campsite loos for us, but these were clean and tidy,

The only minor issue being that the nearest/newest shower block only had one toilet cubicle (and a separate men's urinal) and there was a short queue now and again. You could walk to the one by Reception which had more cubicles.

There were nice cliff top walks available and we did ones in both directions. We were told that Moelfre is a 45 minute walk along the cliff and 25 minutes along the road, although I wouldn't personally want to use the latter route as the road is quite narrow and bendy.

We drove into Moelfre one day and there wasn't a lot there apart from a pub, which we didn't get a chance to visit - it looked nice and very busy.

There's a great cafe at the top of the beach which does pasties, bacon rolls, cakes, coffee, etc and a pizza/bar next door, although the latter was closed when we were there. There is the usual washing up facility and re-cycling. There were a lot of empty/stored caravans in our field, but it was out of High Season and not an issue.

Overall, a lovely campsite, but I'd recommend trying to book a more sheltered pitch, if possible. This might need a phone call, as I'm not sure how the pitches are allocated using the on-line booking system which we used.

 Camped 15th to 19th July 20206

Wow what a beautiful location.

Campsite well maintained, friendly staff, great access to lovely beach and the coastal path.

Did not experience any issues with noise after 10pm.

Loved the fact it was a gated site to both the beach and the campsite so felt very safe an secure. Travelled as a party of four adults and two dogs. The dogs loved it

Amazing location, Beach a stones throw away!

A very well maintained site, facilities clean and tidy, staff very friendly.

Only downside for us was that you're not allowed a wood fire, this will not stop us from returning soon!

We loved this site! The staff were welcoming on arrival, sorted our gate fob (£20 deposit) and escorted us to our pitch. We were just a few minutes from the beach, via the beach gate in our field.

Our pitch was huge, with small hedges down the sides for privacy, we did have a few rabbit holes under our tent so had to be a bit careful.

Toilets were a moment away, then showers a couple of minutes. From memory there were about 4 toilet blocks and 3 shower blocks spread over the site, very clean and the water warm and free!

There was also a dog shower and outdoor showers to wash the sand off your wetsuits etc. Plus a little shop for essentials. We enjoy quiet nights so the noise rules were great for us.

EHU was consistent and just at the rear of the pitch with plenty of amps to go round.

The ground was very soft, so the gale force winds did pull the pegs out and one caravaner did need assistance to get away, but this was happily and quickly provided by the staff.

The little food van and the cafe on the beach were great, lovely breakfast sandwiches and pizzas!

Beautiful campsite with all the necessary amenities and the beach only short distance from pitch.

Only disappointment was the cafe had no hot sandwiches left at 10:30 am

Well kept site with all the amenities you would expect. Great staff who can't do enough to help if you need it.

Very quiet and peaceful making for a very relaxing holiday.

Beautiful beach right next to the site with loads of walks and quiet country road cycling available straight from the site.

Fantastic pub in Moelfre as well as an Indian, chippy and a local shop for basic groceries.

There's even basic groceries on site if you need them.

Great little 'Street food' kiosk as well if you don't want to cook yourself.

Great for short breaks or the longer stay.

We loved it and will return very soon.

When we first arrived the site looked amazing the staff were really friendly and pleased to see us.

One of the staff showed us to are pitch told us were all the toilets and showers were he was very helpful.

Toilets and showers was cleaned every day. If I had to complain about anything it would be the water pressure on the showers.

This is the 2nd visit to this campsite. Both visits have been excellent. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Site is well kept with lots of room around tent/caravan.

Wash and shower facilities are excellent and cleaned to a high standard every day.

Every night a member of staff checks around site.

Lovely and quiet and plenty of wildlife.

About 1 min walk to a lovely sandy beach where you can enjoy an ice-cream to cool off after lazing around in the sun.

We will definitely be returning to site.

Do not be put off by the rules and regulations they send you prior to your visit.

The site was ideally situated with a gate to a lovely beach.

The view from our pitch overlooked the bay and it was a joy to wake up to every morning.

The sunset with the changing colours on the sea was beautiful.

We could walk from the site into Moelfre which took us an hour and a half but walked back on road only half an hour.

Facilities were spotless.

Would not hesitate to go back.

Lovely well maintained site with helpful, friendly staff. Check in was very easy.

Lovely views and coastal walks.

Only advice would be make sure you have food etc as there is a village shop about 10-15 minute walk away but very basic, unless you have a car then there is co-op / Tesco express 10 minute drive away from village.

Although we've visited Anglesey a couple of times, for our first stay we followed the reviews to Dafarn Rhos. Tip: follow their directions, there are some very narrow roads on Anglesey.

We received a warm welcome and were guided to our allocated pitch with assistance to park if required. We were sideways in a sloping field but the pitches were all level so no chocks were required. There are electric points and water taps on each pitch.

Pitches are accessed via crushed stone 'roads' and the hard standing is like grit which had a tendency to get everywhere. We had a sea view and, on one of the furthest away pitches were only about 300m from the lovely beach.

Toilets and showers are of the portacabin type but were modern and very clean and there was plenty of hot water.

All in all we were very pleased with Dafarn Rhos, our only gripe was that, although dogs are allowed, they are not specifically catered for i. E. No tie off points outside toilets and no area for them to exercise off lead.

Moelfre is about a mile away and has a pub, cafes, gift shops, small shop and an excellent chippy. Benllech is about 3 miles further on and has a stunning beach, a Tesco and Co-op, and a bit more going on.

One thing you notice about the island are the number of sites available to choose from but in Dafarn Rhos we were not disappointed.
