 A great, wide, and expansive area; pitch up when you want. Great facilities with clean showers and toilets along with a kitchen area and washer/dryer facilities.
A few portaloo-style toilets (waste fully plumbed into the 'mains') are dotted about the site, so never too far to walk to one. No EHU; I had a power bank and additional solar panels to tide me over.
A half-hour walk (1. 5 miles) back into Fionnphort to take the ferry to Iona. It's easier to walk than try to park in the village.
The location pin on the map is in the wrong position though.

Lovely site, peaceful and soulful, great sea views!
Well worth the drive to get to it.
Short drive or fair walk to Fionnphort where ferry to Iona goes from and to nearest shop, pubs and cafes.
Will def be back!

Bigger sites than we normally stop at & o ly meant to stay for one night & ended up staying 3!
All the vanners want to park up on the edge facing the sea. Fair enough. We did as well in the smaller 2nd field which was much quieter to begin with but soon filled up around the edge.
Next day we moved between 2 rock outcrops where there was only space for one van & still had sea views. So many options on this huge site.
Facilities were small but spotless plus 2 toilets cabins in each field. Honesty box for eggs & cakes.
Great access to sandy beach & sheltered bay for swimming & paddling.
We'll be back!
Short walk of a mile or so to Iona ferry.

Fidden Farm Campsite is absolutely incredible! The site sits right on the beach, with crystal-clear waters and stunning white sand—truly a little slice of paradise.
The drive to get there is a bit narrow in places, but it’s completely worth it for the views and the peaceful location.
The campsite itself is well-maintained and spacious, and there’s a lovely pub just up the road for a convenient pint or meal.
Perfect for anyone looking to combine a beach getaway with a relaxing camping experience.

Fabulous location next to the beach and we were lucky with the weather and watched absolutely stunning sunsets every night.
I would echo what others have said in terms of everyone wanting to park next to the beach so it's just luck if you manage to get a spot there. This has also led to people parking too close to one another - the site have now put in blue painted boulders as a guide to 6m width but I'm not sure how much this helped if people didn't park in the middle of these (sometimes not possible anyway due to slopes).
We did get one of the choice spots next to the beach, which was amazing. However, as there are no pitches and no booking, if you drive away in your van for sightseeing you will lose your spot (and campsite rules prohibit you from leaving anything to claim your pitch). You can walk from the site to Fionnphort though for the Iona ferry and also to Erraid (depending on the tide) and there was also nice 10k circular walk we did from the site too.
The site is enormous, so you will always be able to get a spot, there is no concern on this front. The downside of such a huge site is that you can be a long way from the facilities block at the entrance. There are 2 portacabin toilets in the main camping field, which helps (and these were always clean). However, there really weren't enough showers - just 2 in the male and 2 in the female facilities block (also only 2 toilets plus a disabled toilet), meaning there were always queues when we were there for the showers and often for the toilets as well, which wasn't great! The showers were push button with no temperature control, but were very hot - almost scaldingly hot, which might be a problem for children. This was common to all 3 of the campsites we stayed on in Mull. However, you could handhold the shower at this site, so could get out of the water, which is a bonus.
I would definitely go again for the wonderful setting, but probably wouldn't stay more than 2 nights, given the facilities (most people only seemed to stay 1 night or 2 at most when we were there).

Plenty of space. Much not very level but, everyone seemed to cope. No worries in damp weather with great drainage.
Didn't use the facilities but believe they were fine.
Friendly owners.
Just turn up - no booking required.
Ferry didn't ask us about any bookings but apparently they know about Fidden Farm so no worries.
Long mostly single track from the ferry. Easy driving, if you take it easy and drive courteously.

What a beautiful campsite. Very clean, loads of space, and amazing views.
It was just a treat to stay there.
The bathrooms and facilities were top notch, very clean.
Nice walks on the beach and amazing sunrises etc.
Will definitely go to stay there again.

If you have a dog this campsite is a nightmare as dogs need to be on leads 24/7 on the croft which spreads for over a mile in each direction. An exercise area where dogs could be safely let off the lead would be advantageous.
I suspect the income from camping fees must far exceed the income from the sheep, so perhaps the needs of our canine companions could be given some thoughts.
Yes the views are spectacular and the facilities good, but the dog issue had us stressed all holiday.

As other reviewers have said, you will be lucky to find a pitch on the edge of the low cliffs overlooking the beach as these will be snapped up pretty quickly.
However, I was more than happy with a quiet spot set about a hundred metres back from the coast in a nice sheltered spot behind a small rocky hillock, with lovely views inland and towards Erraid and Iona.
There are plenty of gates in the cliff fence giving access for all campers to the wonderful beaches. Only two showers seems too few a number considering the size of the site, although I didn't have to wait too long in the evenings.
The showers are of the annoying push button type and sometimes the water was luke warm. There is now internet available close to the facilities block if you really can't do without your phone.
One thing I liked was the joint washing up and common room (seating for half a dozen people) which appeared to have heated floors (it was certainly warm in there on a cool evening).
There is a large chest freezer for ice blocks only, but this was heavily abused. I believe the owners should police this, as during the course of my stay, various items started appearing such as 5L water bottles, packs of sausages and on my last night, a large string bag of mussels!
Consequently, the freezer was crammed full and it was a struggle to find room for the ice blocks. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay; the site is in a fantastic location for exploring Iona, Erraid, and various beaches and walks on the Ross of Mull.
The Keel Row pub in Fionnphort (1½ miles away) was very good for meals as was the Creel Seafood shack near the ferry terminal.
