 Stopped here overnight so that I could have an early start the next day with a long day on the road aahed.
The other CAMC site near LeShuttle Folkestone was closed for refurbishment, and I did not fancy just hooking up overnight without access to facilities. Hence I stayed at this site instead.
I booked my tunnel crossing on the basis that I would not be able to depart before 07:00. However, on arrival, I was informed by the helpful staff that there would not be any restrictions to leave earlier than 07:00, and some campers had been know to leave around 04:00 in the morning to catch a train/ferry!
Lovely on-site secure dog walk that allowed dogs to roam free.
Facilities were very clean, and communal areas well-kept.
There was a food truck on-site offering a variety of dishes, and the hot dog I had was nice and reasonably priced.
The site was only about 15-20min's drive away from LeShuttle's terminal, very handy.
I shall definitely return in future for overnight pitstops en-route to Europe, highly recommended!

First time at Daleacres campsite with it being nearly a 7hr journey in our MH. It’s large, quite spread-out site that caters for MH’s, Caravans, Roof Tents, Tents and Yurts amongst others.
What was surprising was that nearly 2/3rds of the pitches are on grass. All pitches are flat and seemingly in good order with all the 44 hardstanding pitches adjacent to the access roads.
There is only one facility block for the whole site (there are two toilets than can be used opposite Reception) which was always clean, if a little dated in appearance and tired in terms of use.
Reception houses a small shop with basics incl bread and milk available, and there is a food wagon that offers daily breakfasts and meals in the evening.
The wardens were helpful and cheery when we talked with them, and were also visible during the day and in the evening. WIFI signal, TV signal and 4G signal were good.
The site is approx. A 15m walk to the nearest pub, the Botolph Arms which was a nice place with nice food, and approx. 40m walk to the nearest bus stop. Cycling for the most part is on the flat and rides to Dungeness and Folkstone are mostly on the seaside promenade.
There are some lovely walks too by the canal into Hythe or around Port Lympne Reserve. Whilst we were here it was quiet and not at all full, partly down to the time of year and partly down to the windy damp weather.
In school children’s holidays, I can imagine it being a challenge to have quiet time, however I would still recommend Daleacres as a site to visit in Kent.

A very pleasant and well laid out campsite. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
Very handy for the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway and Dungenees.
The site has excellent facilities, some of the best showers and toilets I have ever sampled.
The on site food cabin was very useful, serving good food at reasonable prices

Our favourite site, very local, great location.
We’ve been twice this year, we often visit with friends who use the glamping pods.
Lovely micro pub nearby (Unit 1) and another great pub called Botolphs Bridge too.
Close to Port Lympne and the light railway.
Absolute gem of a site.

Beautiful site. Have been there a number of times.
Very friendly staff and good facilities.
Easy access to Hythe and the coastal towns.
Great views over the countryside.
Will be back again soon.

The Hop Farm Touring And Camping Park
Set in 500 acres of beautiful, rolling Kent countryside. The Oast village on site is the World's largest Oast house collection and makes for a spectacular backdrop. Grass and hardstanding pitches for caravans, tents and motorhomes with electric option. Modern toilets and showers and multiple washing up facilities.
Small shop onsite and pub/restaurant at the entrance. The River Medway flows through the site, providing idyllic waterside pitches. Make the most of the location and try your hand at canoeing or fishing or simply sit back, unwind and enjoy wildlife spotting. Local to us, we love coming here for a weekend escape.
Lots to do locally.
Great little site, can’t wait to return next year.
Worth visiting Unit 1 cafe - great ales and food.
Also, Botolphs Bridge pub serves excellent food. Walkable from the site.

Nice site up to usual CAMC standards.
Wardens friendly and informative.
Recommended for short or long term stays due to location.

This site is fairly local to us and is our ‘go to’ if we fancy a weekend in our caravan.
Great site with friendly wardens.
Our friends are also able to join us by booking a glamping tent there too.
Unit one is a great cafe/bar nearby and there is a lovely pub - both within walking distance.
Handy for the light railway or for a day out in Canterbury.

Excellent site.
Very peaceful.
Apart from the occasional sound of Lions roaring from nearby Port Lyme wildlife park.
Usual facilities all looked after very well.
Ideal for touring South East England coast line.

Stayed on a nice flat, large service pitch with excellent TV signal and WiFi.
Good facilities block and great wardens.
Mixture of all the pitch types on site and yurts although those were largely empty.
Lots of places to visit in the area including Hythe, Dymchurch, Dungeness, Rye etc.
Nothing to fault and spoke to a lot of returning members who seem to either live within an hour of the site or come from further afield and stay for several weeks.
Also quite a few seasonal pitches and people using the ferries.
