Loved this site so much back in 2025 as part of my Scottish tour that I decided to return for a longer stay before I travelled to Newcastle for an event over the early May 2026 Bank Holiday weekend.
Very well kept with lovely walks around the campsites.
It is a big site with just one facilities block, so choose you pitch wisely. I chose the same location as my last trip which was not far from the facilities block with a beautiful view of the sea.
There is a play area with some equipment which were well-used during my stay.
Very helpful staff, and there is a shop selling basic provisions and ice cream!
This is my favourite C&CC club site to date - just wish it is closer to me and not over 400+ miles away!
It will be part of my Scottish tour in 2028!

Scenic spot, clean facilities,
Handy to the town and a walk to the Lighthouse.
Booking online was via the Club rather than the campground as it was within 24hrs of staying.

Stayed at this campsite for 2 nights as part of my Scottish trip, so that I could visit a friend in Edinburgh; and wished I had stayed for longer!
The site was very clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff, as one would expect from a C&CC club site.
The pitch I had near the facilities block had a great view. The dog walks were well-maintained, even and suitable for prams and those with reduced mobility like myself.
There was a small shop selling the essentials and ice cream.
All in all, I liked this site so much I decided to book and stay here next year when I come up to Newcastle for a meeting instead of Dunstan Hill.
Highly recommended.

Very clean and spacious site with friendly, efficient staff.
Although there were many units on site it didn’t feel crowded because the pitches are so well laid out.
The amenities were excellent and spotlessly clean.
The dog exercise area and the mown pathways are very welcome for dog owners.
My only mild criticism was the distance between water taps: a few more would be very welcome.

First stop on tour around Scotland, chose this site/area in hope of less rain and it worked for us.
Site overlooking the sea with some more sheltered areas. Supervised entry on arrival, and help with choosing pitch.
Lovely views and sunsets from pitch, of Dunbar town and the sea/beach.
Dog walk enclosed and fair size.
Only one toilet block.
Didn't find much info leaflets (told about walk involving caves when at another site - pity didn't find this when there).
Waterpoints were fair distance from pitch, would have been good to have more.
Felt that site was run a bit for the convenience of wardens, not the visitors.
Summary: Lovely location and views, but too far to walk into town with dodgy knees. Lucky with weather, good for dogs.

We enjoyed our stay at Dunbar and were lucky to have lovely weather and splendid views out to sea.
The site did not seem too crowded.
We took the coast path to Dunbar on one day, but found the close proximity of golfers and their balls a little unnerving.
However on our second day we walked the other way to the lighthouse and back along the rocks and beach which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Good site a bit further out from the town than we thought (wife has a mobility issue with her knee) but a nice location with lovely views.
The facilities are good clean and well looked after but can be a bit of a trek if you are at certain points of the site.
As mentioned before the water points can be a bit far away as well.
The staff are pleasant and well informed.
All in all a good site to visit.

Very Clean well run site, good location, comparatively insect free.
Easy to get to. Easy distances to lots of small interesting towns and other attractions.
Good views from the pitch that I was given whilst also having a bit of shelter from the wind.
Easy walk to the beach but not direct from the campsite, a surfing beach rather than for swimming.
The waves made plenty of noise which could be heard at night.
Walking to Dunbar is possible, but you do have to navigate the golf course, and be aware of golfers playing.
