Well located site for easy access to the beach and the town. Site was set behind gates with plenty of room for entering with caravan.
Very friendly staff member greeted us with the pitch number and details of facilities on site.
The site sits between views of the boating lake and the beach just over the main road which although busy, could not be heard from the site
The town was very nice to walk around with many large stores nearby (tesco co-op morrisons ect) Also many dog friendly pubs.
Toilet facilities although small very very clean, only downside was poor water pressure in the shower.

Loved this site! Friendly welcome from the warden who showed us where everything was!
We were allowed to choose our pitch so we went for one with the sea at one side and the lake at the other!
Everything is within walking distance of this site which is what we like when in the motorhome.
Pubs, shops, Pleasureland, places to eat all so close!
Will definitely return!

Absolutely superb site.
Right on the beach, but there was so much to see watching the scouts and yacht club sailing.
The warden Jimmy was amazing, knowledgeable and so kind and welcoming. He even charged our drill - due to an oversite!
Very clean, maintained site. Love the boats full of flowers.

Had a lovely time on this site, the facilities were good - shower and toilets very clean.
The warden was exceptional, he was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to help us ( my husband has Vascular Dementia).
It’s in an ideal spot for shopping, walking along the front etc.
I would definitely recommend this place.

This was a first. A Scouts Site.
Sea views to one side and a large sailing lake in front. Wildlife all around.
On arrival the receptionist was extremely helpful a guided tour of where to park. Which was open to our discretion.
A sand base meant out 3.5 ton MotorHome would be able to manoeuvre without the risk of getting stuck.
Toilet and shower block and complimentary WiFi. A gated site which felt safe. Wonderful.
A short walk over the bridge into town or a pub near the entrance.
No down side just pure relaxation!

Booked in for 5 nights but unfortunately due to ill heath of my partner and my 12 year old lab had to return home after 2 days.
Spoke to Sue in the office there who was most understanding, both over this and when I booked in.
Could not fault the service or the site, will certainly be there again.

Only found this just before we left home. So glad we did, had two lovely days there.
The site staff are very helpful and offered us a choice of two places to pitch our motorhome.
Plenty of space for our awning but it developed a puncture so we had to take it down.
Two toilets, basic but very clean, could do with a update. One unisex shower however it cost a £1. 00 and it was just about long enough for a quick shower.
Given the excellent location right on the seafront, near the pier, £23 a night is a fair price. The site is behind a high fence with gates that are closed but not locked. Security however is very good.
Short walk into Southport town centre and also plenty of places to eat and go shopping just a short walk from the site. It is set in the Scouts water park and the lake view is an added bonus.
We would definitely go there again if in the area and would recommend this site, so convenient for all Southports got to offer

We have used Waterside Lodge over the past few years as a site where everything is as it should be. The toilets and showers are spotless. The chemical disposal point is spotless and the waste water point is also spotless.
The site is more or less on the promenade and so a wander along the beach with your furry friend is only a very short distance, although crossing the main road in high season does take a moment or three.
The pier is just a short distance away and calls for a bracing walk, but better still the view is just fantastic if you are there as we were this week when Southport had that rare high tide and covered all the beach.
The town itself is only a ten unite walk away and there are many watering holes and decent restaurants. Just a final note, the on duty staff are marvellous and are there in all weathers to give help if and when needed.
We will be going again, it's one of our 'Go to' sites for a short break.

Liked the site's position in Southport plus nice friendly staff.
Pitch size not big enough for awning.
Toilets and shower in need of a update but were adequate.
