 What a smashing site. Great for touring the area including Oban ,Fort William and beyond. Friendly welcome from staff leading on to an excellent pitch via good Motorome facilities. Loos showers and laundry immaculate at all times and every pitch with a sea view. Can highly recommend this site and we will definitely return next year.

This is a superb Caravan Club site.
Pitches held up well during the recent Monsoon season which is no mean feat considering around 5 inches of rain appeared to drop in just 12 hours. Mind you we were pitched on a slope which directed all rain from the hill down into our awning. This is the first time we've eaten our dinner in 2 inches of water so an enlightening experience for all of us.
There is a fabulous beach and views out over the coast for more or less every caravan.
There is a downside though. There are 2 toilet blocks and both are situated at the same end of a 400 metre long site. This meant a 5 minute run at 3am. We passed many people who were clearly struggling to get there on time. We have however bought a portapotty, a flask for tea and a picnic hamper for future visits so it's not all bad news.
The new toilet block is exceptional with non-touch controls for the showers. You simply step inside, wave your hand at the on switch and it starts. Unfortunately it is super sensitive. I had set the temperature control and was rinsing soap off when my elbow passed within 3 metres of the control promptly replacing the soothing warm jet with a blast of arctic cold nastiness straight into.Let's just say that my childlike screams were heard across the campsite.

Just returned from 5 days on this beautifully located site. We had a pitch on the shoreline of Ardmucknish Bay with fantastic views over to the Isle of Mull and experienced one of the most stunning sunsets I've ever seen.
The site is very well maintained with spotless shower/laundry block and a shop selling the main items plus some frozen stuff, beers, wines, spirits and cigs - all at really decent prices too.
We received a really warm welcome when we arrived (even though I'd forgotten to bring my CC membership card) and the reception staff and warden had a great sense of humour.
The dog walk is good, although our mutt preferred to go on the beach and more particularly for a frolic in the Bay - plenty of dog bins to put any little accidents in.
Oban is lovely and only 15 minutes in the car with lots of little shops (none of the high street stuff), Tesco and plenty of pubs and restaurants. The Distillery is well worth a visit even if, like me, you're not a malt whiskey drinker. There is a seafood restaurant on the dock called E-Usk which is a must go to for delicious local produce - the mussels are from Loch Evine and the Lobster is off the Isle of Mull plus plenty of other local fish to choose from, an absolute delight and the staff were great.
There's so much to do in the this part of the country that we will definitely go back and spend a bit longer next time. And my word, how big is Loch Lomond!

We had a fantastic week here in August 2006 for our honeymoon. The wardens were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even giving us a congratulatory bottle of wine! We had a beach side pitch which was wonderful and had the most fantastic views. The facilities are great and the site is very tidy and well laid out. We will definitely be visiting again.
We can recommend the 'Wide Mouthed Frog' pub/restaurant on the way to Oban for fantastic local caught seafood.

We have been visiting North Ledaig at least once a year since 2001. We even got married from the site in 2004! It is a wonderful site, with fantastic views over Ardmucknish Bay to the Isle of Mull. The site is very well maintained with wonderfully friendly staff that you feel like you are visiting family when you get there. The toilet block has suffered over the last 12 months as the site was having problems with the cleaning staff that they employed. This was, however, rectified very quickly. They have a brand new block due to open at anytime. The short trip into Oban is well worth it with ample shopping available. We love the site that much I have hesitated in recommending it to you as we want to keep it as a secret! Well done to Peter and Katy and the staff, we look forward to seeing you in July 2007.

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel second class citizens because we weren't CC members but had been designated a member pitch when booking on the telephone! We were able to stay on the pitch which was OK but not on the beach edge. Shower block very clean, hot water from showers. Good dog walking along disused railway line and lovely quiet,stony beach. Shop well stocked if a bit pricey. Close to Oban, bus available from outside site if required,early enough to get the first ferry crossing to Mull.

Nothing to be added to the comments of previous reviews. When we were here, the site had all the new motor-homes close to the entrance and the older ones (like our old girl) tucked away at the end of the line. I thought - that's a good idea, if it's not just a co-incidence. It was a long walk to the shower block but that helps to clear the head a bit.
The site is huge by most Scottish standards and mainly caravans. They were all arranged in neat lines facing down the loch like retired fishermen on a nostalgic harbour wall. The site looks so neat and tidy. And it's maintained brilliantly.
The shower block is excellent, in good modern condition and as clean as a whistle. The MV service point is easily accessible and two 'vans can use it at the same time.
A well stocked shop and friendly reception made our one-night stopover a pleasure. And we had mobile reception on both Voda and Orange, as well as a fair TV reception. What more could you ask?

Had an excellent stay on a lovely site. Felt welcomed from the minute we walked in and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Although the weather wasn't the best the views from the front row were still to die for. Would definitely recommend and will return one day.

We've just come back from this site and thought it was excellent. The views were breathtaking, with all pitches facing out over the sea. There is a well stocked shop on site, and the wardens were always friendly. The facilities are always kept clean and tidy and quite nice even though they are not the best I've been to. There isa good dog walking area. The only problem with the site is there is no onsite bar/pub/takeaways and you have to travel 6 miles into Oban for this. there was a pub about a mile away but this was closed. If there was somewhere to go at night this would be certainly a fantastic site. Well worth a visit.

This site is one of the best we have visited so far. The pitches are a good size and the views are lovely. We used to watch the sun setting across the water and took some stunning photographs. The facilities are very good and the shop is well stocked and not overpriced.Whilst we were there we did visit a few other sites in the area but none came anywhere near this one. Thoroughly reccomend this site.

If you could guarantee the weather you wouldn't want to be anywhere else! The best site we have visited since starting caravanning a year ago. Pitched right on the beach, outlook spectacular. Pitches wide with plenty of room. Site large which gives the kids plenty of space to play. Showers and toilets very clean, dishwashing and laundry available. Shopped well stocked. Easy reach for Oban itself and Fort William. Plenty of things to do in the area. Highly recommended.

Just got back from a fanatastic week on this site. The views are terrific, even more so from the top of local Bein Lora. Site was spotless, the new shower and toilet blocks with separate wash rooms were brilliant and never full. The campsite was full and during the school holidays but plenty to do locally. The local buses are hourly and very cheap for return tickets. New for 2005 from Oban railway station is the open top bus to the isles of Seil and Easdale for the price of £6 return well woth the price, recommend it! The local people were all very friendly and the shop on site and the staff were all helpful and friendly. will definitely be returning. Only one small complaint which I reported and that was the children riding pushbikes and scooters around the toilet block at night. I understand we visited during the school holidays and the children need to play but should and older person be hit suddenly this is an accident waiting to happen!

This site is one of the best we have ever visited. The pitches all face to the sea, the facilities are the best. The shop is excellent , you will want for nothing.
The beach is so close you will fall in the sea when you leave your van and the view is to die for. The sunsets will leave you speechless, what more can we say. A superb site, Peter and Katy, you have done a brilliant job.

I've stayed at a number of good caravan sites (many of them operated by the Caravan club) but this one is probably the best of all so far.
All of the pitches have great views out over the sea, the play area onsite is excellent, the washroom areas superb (other than the push-button showers which are a pet hate of mine) and the other facilities (including a large shop) very comprehensive.
Oban can be accessed quickly using a bus which stops opposite the site and there is loads to do there no matter what the weather. There is also an excellent sea life centre a few miles to the north (easy motorhome parking) which has long been a favourite with my kids.
The site has a boat launching ramp and a boat storage area, and there is a stoney beach right in front of the site.

A truly brilliant spot. This Caravan Club Site is part of a larger site, although members are sited on a seperate field. You can pitch almost at the waters edge. Views are wonderfull. Pitches are large and very well spaced.
Showers let the side down a little, everything on one level so all the floor gets wet.
On site shop was excellent.
Oban a lovely working town is excellent for shopping and watching the world go by. Hop on a ferry here to Mull for the day. Public Transport on Mull runs in connection with the ferry, so it will not go with out you.
Superb site, same about the showers!!
