Just returned from a weeks stay at west end farm 4 adults 3 kids and 4 dogs. We had a fantastic time and all loved the quiet well sheltered site.

Toilets and showers really clean laundry was well used and had no problems.

Chris the owner was really helpful and friendly.

Been visiting this area of Lincolnshire for 36 years now and never want to come home.

We have booked again for bank holiday and are really looking forward to it.

We stayed here during the first week of the summer school holidays and had an absolutely brilliant time! The site is beautiful. Lots and lots of space for children to run around safely and a little park, which kept our two children entertained for hours!

Chris, the owner is very friendly and regularly wanders around to ensure people are happy! The showers are 'basic' but very clean and there is a washing machine, which you do not need tokens for!

The area itself is well worth a tour around. Mablethorpe is a typical seaside town, but the beach is fantastic and the sand is lovely. Louth is a really pretty little town with lots of little 'boutiquey' type shops. Lincoln is definitely worth a trip out. The cathedral is amazing, although it is 6 to get in. You can go in to the entrance just to get a sense of this wonderful building.

We would definitely consider going back here.

We stayed at West End Farm for 5 nights at the end of July. It was quite a rainy week but the site didn't suffer from any waterlogging problems (that we noticed).

The site is surrounded by trees and is therefore very secluded. Entry is secured by a padlocked (key coded) gate. One of the camping fields for tents without electric hookup is before the padlocked gate so it's not as secure. However, the owner gives you a choice where to pitch so the decision to pitch in this field is your own.

On arrival you are directed to the reception area, which is a shed sited in the camping field near the farmhouse. This building contains a fridge and freezer for campers' use (free of charge) and tourist information leaflets. Very handy.

The toilet and shower facilities are situated in a large wooden shed-like building, and were more than adequate for us: clean toilets (two per sex); two showers for women and one for men; a fresh supply of drinking water (but only located at this block); dishwashing facilities; a laundry with sink and free washing machine (exceptional!); and chemical toilet disposal point. Hot water was plentiful and the building was warm. I only had to queue for the toilets a few times, which is to be expected in school holidays.

We were pleased that there was a small playground for children (4 swings) and a large central grassy area for football, cricket, or other games. This is a great site for children of all ages, who meet easily and start playing together nicely.

The campsite owner Chris was on hand daily to provide tourist advice or just chat with. He also cleaned the facilities himself, which was nice to see. He can't provide hot sunny weather though (I asked).

Unfortunately, the site doesn't have a shop to sell basics such as milk and bread or camping accessories, and this is something the owner should consider for the future because local shops are scarce. The nearest supermarkets were in Mablethorpe (Lidl and Co-op) and Louth (Morrisons and Co-op), both over 15 minutes away. Personally, I'd recommend shopping in Mablethorpe because driving around Louth is a nightmare!

Nice things to see in the area are Hubbards Hills in Louth (an area of outstanding natural beauty with fields for picnics and a stream running through to paddle in). Mablethorpe has a nice beach and the beach huts are worth seeing (although the town itself is a bit run down in places). Some camping neighbours recommended Sutton on Sea as a lovely town and sandy beach.

We visit this site at least twice a year because we love it.

Quite but not too far away from the coast, loads of walks nearby.

The owner is very friendly and leaves you alone as long as you respect his wishes.

We take 3 kids,2 dogs and they never get bored.

We would recommend this site to anyone that likes a bit of peace and quiet to just wind down and enjoy the surrounding area.

Always plenty of hot water for showers and pot washing, freezer / fridge and laundry on site all free of charge.

Small play area for the kids but they always find something to amuse themselves and keep busy.

Just had a fab long weekend at this heavenly site, lovely large pitches for your big tents and a central grassy area for the kids to play. A really peaceful and relaxed site with a friendly and helpful owner.

Am a bit OCD about toilets etc so took my own but hubby and kids used them and said they were fine. Its a great base to explore the surrounding Lincolnshire attractions, mablethorpe has a nice beach and a few amusements for the kids, but Sutton on Sea was my favourite with a lovely beach and no amusements (my kids beg to differ!)

This was our first camping trip and we all thoroughly enjoyed it due in no small part to this lovely site, the only downside is that the standard here has been set soo high can the other camp sites compete??

We stayed for seven nights on this generous site which has mature hedging to divide up the area. Chris, the owner, is very pleasant and helpful. Fresh eggs for sale just down the lane and they also sell fabrics (mostly for furnishings) which is quite amazing as this area appears to be in the middle of vast countryside and farmland. Do view it on Google Earth. Excellent food at The Wagon & Horses.
